NEW WEGL SESSION DROPPED 🗣🗣
Head over to our YouTube channel or sub.ie/MakeSure to check out our latest WEGL Session with @makesure.music!
Sometimes the most poetic way to tell a story is straightforward and without embellishments. On his latest record as Make Sure, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joshua Aubrey Jackson frankly relays his experiences with grief, heartbreak and—ultimately—forgiveness in a way that’s both conversational and confessional. Bridging intimate dream-pop and expansive folk-rock, Ninjutsu is like getting a hug from a close friend after baring your soul to them. It captures the liberating feeling of truly knowing that someone else has walked down the same road of disappointment, awkwardness and redemption. “Talking about vague pain isn’t helpful,” Jackson says. “It’s your actual story that gives people hope.”
You can stream his album, Ninjutsu, out now.
SETLIST:
"Tiger Shark"
"Thirteen" (Big Star Cover)
"Leave the Willows Still Weeping"
"Sometimes a Man Has Nothing to Say"
