10/6/21, 3:30 PM CDT - New tornado watch has been issued just to our north. Comes as close to our local area as Randolph County in AL and Heard County in GA. Again, any tornado that may form will be on the lower end (weak and brief) - the main threat will still be heavy rainfall as the entire area remains under a flash flood watch as well until early tomorrow morning.
10/6/21, 2:30 PM CDT - In addition to the well-advertised heavy rain and flooding threat, there is a small non-zero risk of strong winds or a brief, weak tornado this afternoon as daytime heating combines with a very moist airmass and some stronger winds aloft. We're more likely to not see anything over the area, but the risk will be there into the evening hours.

7/1/21, 10:10 PM CDT - Outflow boundary moving through the Auburn-Opelika area from older storms in south Alabama is popping new storms in its wake. Heavy rain currently falling in Auburn. These storms will be short-lived but will drop a lot of water in a short amount of time.
6/14/21, 1 PM CDT - Watch the storms blossom in this area over the past couple of hours. They’ll drop south and affect much of our area this afternoon. Gusty winds and small hail are possible in the stronger activity, with an outside chance of a damaging 50-60 mph wind gust as well.
5/27/21, 12:40 PM CDT - FINALLY breaking through with a little bit of rain today! Latest high-res models showing some isolated showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two popping up with the heating of the afternoon.
3/31/21, 11:10 AM CDT - Severe thunderstorm watch is likely imminent for our area as a line of storms starts to intensify as it moves SE. Gusty winds will be the main threat but a small, brief tornado cannot be ruled out.
