Music News and new release announcements from the desk On the Beats with Off the Streets Productions
Week of November 21, 2022 our first installment, I would like to thank everyone and welcome everyone to a new addition to the program. We are going to be adding News from around the world of music, and along with anticipated releases. So, let’s start with the headlines.
Over the last week we had gotten a new tour announced from Taylor Swift to support her new album, it shut down the Ticketmaster servers for a short time, where Taylor swift fans overloaded their servers.
Jack White Tweets and delates third man records twitter in protest of Elon Musk allowing Donald Trump back on the platform.
Kanye West tweets a test tweet to confirm his handle is still active on his profile.
A violent attack happened in the parking lot of the Elton John concert at dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles California, over a small fender bender that escalated to a physical altercation between an elderly couple and another party. Arrests were made in this. The elderly gentlemen was hospitalized and is recovering.
Elton John has not made any statements of the incident, but the Los Angeles dodgers also has donated 1million dollars to Elton John’s Aids Foundation.
Last night was also the 2022 American Music Awards,
Taylor Swift swept the awards ceremony with grabbing awards in all categories she was nominated for and earned the honors for Best Female Pop Artist, Best Female Country Artist and Best Country Album for Red (Taylor's Version) before the ABC broadcast even began.
Later in the evening, she was declared Artist of the Year, while her record Red also won for Best Pop Album and "All Too Well" won for Best Music Video.
Bad Bunny won best Male Latin Artist
Beyonce won Best R&B Artist
Kendrick Lamar was awarded best Male Hip Hop artist
Morgan Wallen was honored for best Male Country Artist for his single Wasted On You for best country song
Harry Styles earned the Best Male Pop Artist award and Best Pop Song prize for "As it Was," while BTS grabbed the prizes for Best K-Pop Artist and Best Pop Duo or Group.
Machinegun Kelly also earned an award which I don’t think he deserves hes a poser and manufactured trash from the higher ups of the music industry I find it truly odd that he is so popular when most people I know can not stand him nor listen to his music. His award was for best rock Artist.
Dan + Shay picked up the trophy for Best Country Duo or Group and WIZKID went home with the Best AfroBeats Artist honor.
Maneskin scored the Best Rock Song trophy for "Beggin'" and "Wait For U" by Future won for Best Hip-Hop Song.
Pink did a wonderful tribute to Olivia Newton John who passed away after battling cancer this past summer.
