This is a great time to be a movie fan, despite everything that COVID 19 has brought upon us. I say it is a great time because despite all of the studio shutdowns and cancelations of new releases, we have a group of professionals who continue to push through and are ready to give us a lot to smile about in the next few months.

The economy forced many industry companies to stop production and hit the brakes on many TV series and movies. Nevertheless, we still got plenty of content which started to flourish via the very new, and some old competitive streaming services platforms such as Netflix, HBOMax, Prime Video and Apple TV.

The cancelation of movie releases did disrupt us, but we are now on the brink of seeing some great movies and series that will amaze us in the coming years. I believe the shutdown gave us the opportunity to broaden our horizons. I found myself watching some tv series and movies that I never had the time to or thought of watching. I am happy to have had the time over the last 5 months to enjoy “The Witcher” on Netflix, “See” on Apple TV, “Ghost” on HBOMax, and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” on Prime Video.

This brings me to what I hope to be the new norm of upcoming FANDOM events. Tomorrow, DCFAMDOM, an online stream event may pave the way for many more events to come. DCFAMDOM will showcase everything DC Comic and movie experiences, with the promise of plenty of content for the coming months and perhaps years.
I personally have never had the opportunity to attend a live event like COMIC CON since I live far away from the places in which these events take place. Now, I have the opportunity of a lifetime to attend from the comfort of my home with the rest of the world.

Back in 2015-2016 when Marvel dropped the trailer for INFINITY WAR at COMIC CON, I heard rumors about it for months and how amazing it was, but I never got the chance to see it in full effect until the movie came out. I hated that I missed it.

DCFANDOM will give every fan the opportunity to enjoy an event at the same time, not just the few lucky ones; but all the fans who will attend the virtual event.

I for once will be there and hope for you join us and discuss the good and the bad!!
