It was a beautiful day for a Christmas piano recital! The Christmas spirit was strong with all of our student performers despite the unseasonably warm temperatures! Kudos to our piano instructor, Alyssa Campbell, and all of The Slick Music Studio students who worked hard towards performing these fun Christmas arrangements! Thank you to A Town Center for the perfect, cozy venue for this recital!

We’re getting close to the A*O season opener featuring some of the Slick Music teaching staff! Our piano/voice/songwriting instructor, Alyssa Huff, will be playing and singing as well as contributing two of her orchestrations. Rick Singleton will be playing drums. One of our former instructors, Emma Campbell, wrote some of the songs in the program and will be playing violin and singing.

We would love to see the Paramount Theatre packed out with Slick Music students past and present! Kids under 18 get in free when they sign up for the A*O Kid’s Club! Visit AndersonSymphony.org for details.

We are pleased to welcome our newest instructor, Lauren Schaffter, to our team! Lauren is a Music Ed. major/Theatre minor at Anderson University. She has experience both as a performer and musical director for several theatre productions as well as in various choral ensembles.

If you or your child are interested in advancing your vocal technique to improve your performance in choir, musical theatre, or just for your own fun, Lauren can help!

Do you have a band, but don't have a space to rehearse?
The Slick Music Studio has rehearsal space for local bands! For as little as $20, you can reserve a 2 hour time slot for your next band rehearsal. We have two rehearsal space options:

Gold Room- ($25 for 2 hour block)
This room is perfect for large bands that need plenty of space to set up electric instruments and other gear.

Small Room- ($20 for 2 hour block)
This room is perfect for an acoustic band or smaller ensemble.

Rooms are equipped with PA and Drums if needed.
