Ross is a filmmaker and freelance film journalist. He also runs Saturn's Core Audio & Video, which specializes in releasing underground, underseen & forgotten movies, with an emphasis on SOV releases. He helps bring these oddities and gems back from the dead with brand new editions on Blu-Ray & even limited edition VHS.

This chat spends a good deal of time talking about Ross' documentary "Mail Order Murder: The Story of W.A.V.E. Productions," as well as his boutique Blu-Ray label Saturn's Core Audio & Video.





Ross also discusses co-curating VHS-Fest with Lunchmeat at the Mahoning Drive-In Theater, and the importance of physical media.

Brother JT visits the Art Bazaar to discuss his 40+ years making music. His work ranges in style from garage pop to psychedelic, punk & can be very experimental at times.

JT has been in scores of bands over the years including the Original Sins. He put out his first album under the name Brother JT in 1991, releasing nearly 30 albums in that time. He's toured with bands such as the Replacements, Kinks and the Ramones, and his music videos played on MTV when that use to mean something.

In September 2021 Chris Elston campaigned to save the hand-painted sign from the former location of Beachead Comics on 16th & Chew Streets. This sign, painted in 1985 by artist Tom Wilde, had become iconic to many residents of Allentown. After it faced destruction in Late 2021, Chris put together an effort to save the sign and move it to a new permanent location where it could be given new life.

While working to save the beloved piece of local history, Chris discovered a much deeper story to the sign than was immediately obvious.

We peel back the layers of Allentown's hidden history within this sign, and the excellent work Chris has done to save it.

Joseph Makkos is a printmaker & archivist from New Orleans who salvages old letterpresses and boxes of rare type, working to keep them accessible and put into an use during modern times.

In 2013, Joseph acquired a collection of roughly 30,000 original papers from the Daily-Picayune & Times-Pic dating 1888 to end of 1929, likely the most complete physical collection of this era. He created the organization NOLA DNA to support the continued legacy of these papers.

Dusty Cans is an ongoing film screening series of 16mm film prints featuring cartoons, short documentaries, cultural films, musicals, home movies, silent films and much more.

The next Dusty Cans screening takes place this Sunday, January 28th 1-3 PM at the Emmaus Theatre. Tickets are available on Eventbrite as well as at the the Box Office the day of the screening.
