Let's stop the unnecessary comparisons or competitions...
I recently realized I have an unhealthy relationship to those I view as "competition." I connected it to my value, which led to anger and frustration. I acknowledged it, determined the cause, and decided if I wanted to continue thinking this way. I chose the peace that came with disconnecting my worthiness from the unwanted competition and allowing inspiration to flow freely. There is such beauty in the unqiueness that we are born with. When combined together with others, magic can happen.

Take a life pause...
The first thing I did to start my healing and self-discovery journey was take a pause when I quit my job. Taking a pause can be a mental health day, weekend, holiday, vacation, etc. Here is a picture of a simple one I did today, meditation.

Excuse me while I feel myself for a sec!!
I'm not a fitness influencer, but I made a decision to put me first and stuck with it. I knew I felt different in this shirt but didn't realize why until I found an older pic in the same shirt, 5 years ago. I've changed so much in a year and a half that I don't recognize myself in the first pic. What did I do?
I joined MONAT in November 2019 to help with my hair issues. Being active in this empowering community led me to listen to podcasts, attend motivational trainings, read self-development books, surround myself with positive seeking people and listen to stories that inspired me to understand I was meant for more. In September 2021, I attended my first Monations in person and was so fired up that I quit my corporate job due to a series of unfortunate events. I didn't have a plan but knew I had to work from the inside out. So I became open to yoga, sound healing, reiki, meditation, lifecoaches, healers, retreats, meal plans, working out, etc.
To be honest, although I haven't been financially successful in my business, who I'm becoming is priceless! I'm barely scratching the surface of my transformation, but I'm so damn proud of myself!! As one who doesn't journal much, I had to document this. Let this be your reminder to track your progress to celebrate those wins.
When you show up for yourself as much as you do for others, you ignite your own 🔥 and consistency keeps it lit 😘.

Have you challenged yourself lately?
I committed to a 6-week kickboxing program that included a meal plan on Dec 19th, and I have made it to the end!! I chose to enter because I wanted to try something I've been wanting to do and change my eating habits. I ate about 2 times a day, had a major sweet tooth, barely drank water, and avoided anything healthy. This meal plan challenged me to eat 3 meals a day, have protein for snack, drink water, and be sugar-free. That first week was hell because I stayed with a major headache but fought through it. I was loving kickboxing, but the struggle was real with eating.
By mid 2nd week, I learned how to adjust to my new diet and make it taste good, which was a game changer. I was looking forward to my meals, snacks, and workouts!! Overall, I feel stronger, have more energy, and gained confidence throughout this experience. Huge thanks to all the instructors, especially my coach Morgan at KickHouse!! I would highly recommend them if you're local. Kickboxing is such a fun way to exercise and take out some pent-up energy!! Kinda sad that it's coming to an end, but I'm motivated to seek the next challenge. Stay tuned.....

Don't let the challenges of life knock you off track 😘
I ain't afraid to use my resources lol. When life throws challenges, we gotta come prepared with our tools to handle whatever may come. I stay prepared with my lifecoach, counting, journaling, meditation, exercise, etc. Whatever my body needs at the moment of any situation, I give. Although I may be inconsistent at times, I don't ignore when my body needs some extra TLC. Working on yourself doesn't mean that life is rainbows and unicorns afterwards but you're better equip to handle those blows of life 😉. What or who do you rely on when things get tough??
