It's a nice light rules set that does a good job of pushing conflicts of morality and temptation.

Funnily, I saw the Kickstarter for the Blacksad roleplaying game before I’d ever known about the comic books. The comics are written by a Spanish duo — author Juan Díaz Canales and arti…

Which is better for playing sad space cowboys..?

Space Cowboys are cool. Since the release of Cowboy Bebop, and followed up with spiritual cousins Firefly, Serenity, The Mandalorian, and The Expanse (at least the TV series) — people getting…

I've been shockingly consistent on this one over the years.

Simple. James Bond:007 RPG by Victory Games. It dropped in 1983 — some about the time of Oc*****sy. (A terrible entry, especially considering the excellent George MacDonald Fraser wrote it, b…

I don’t tend to use modules and campaign guides to run them, but to mine them for ideas. I’ve never run one without tearing it apart and modifying it for the players/characters/campaign…

This one’s easy. It’s also a tale of how some folks take gaming way too seriously. Early ’90s. I had just moved back to my hometown in Pennsylvania and couldn’t find a group…
