The Museum of Reality TV

The Museum of Reality TV This page is the social media front for the future Museum of Reality Television. As the genre grew, it has become part of the American psyche.

Some of the personal collection can be found here: http://www.michaelspascua.com/reality/

Support us by helping us get material for our museum: http://a.co/cLBvpBW The Museum of Reality TV is right now a pipe dream museum idea created by Michael Pascua as a way of showing his growing personal collection of Reality Television memorabilia. Currently the anchor exhibit of the museum is the more than

40 official project runway dresses that will be displayed on a rotating basis to keep the museum fresh. Pop culture museums can be hokey so I'm working currently to figure out the logistics of trying to start my own museum as a business.

Mission Statement

Reality Television emerged as a window to everyday life. First starting on a more candid form, reality television has emerged as a prominent genre of television in today’s society. Successful shows have added words to our lexicon, objects into our homes, and dreams into our minds. The relics of reality television have become iconic in the history of television and the research and preservation have become a way to relive the magic of the past and unlock the mystery of the human experience. These have come in the form of props and wardrobe from the actual shows themselves to the toys, products, fashion, and music that we consume in everyday life. While reality television was originally geared towards entertainment, the long-term successful shows have been ones that not only have entertainment value, but also strong socialization and interaction among viewers. So many aspects of life, from cooking, to travel, from music, to business has been reinforced by each emerging reality program. These programs have changed our way of thinking and sometimes even our way of living. The Museum of Reality Television takes you through the wonder of various programs. The museum overlaps education with entertainment to grab the viewers’ imagination and capture their minds. As we grow we cite many of our ideas being inspired by what we have seen and heard from television. This motivation is what we at the Museum of Reality Television have put our hard work into: preservation, education, and inspiration.

With cast being announced and Jenn Tran being last minute, the rumors prior to the cast reveal was that there were 10 (possibly 11) celebrities signed up. But when the morning hit, we had 13.

Who were the last two sign-ups?

This is my guess.

1) I think after Dwight Howard's sexual assault lawsuit got dismissed, DWTS approached him. The dismissal was around the 22nd of August. So if things got confirmed the following week, Dwight would have the time to meet his pro and take the cast shot.

2) I'm not sure if Phaedra was the original housewife asked to be on the show but she'd just replace Sutton who got cold feet. Similarly Danny was probably a replacement for a bigger NFL name, but again a space was held for an NFL-er.

3) I'm leaning that the second last minute sign up was Brooks Nader and it was because she was still post divorce nervous.

Who do you think were the last minute signups?
