Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger of the Diocese of Albany met with sexual abuse survivor Stephen Mittler at Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake on Sunday, July 31, before the 11 a.m. Mass. Mittler, who has settled his Child Victims Act lawsuit against the Diocese of Albany, requested a meeting with the Bishop last week to take him up on his offer to “walk with survivors.” This is the unedited video of the pair talking to the assembled media.

Beautiful St. Peter’s Gardens (shown in this video) at the Church of St. Peter in Saratoga Springs will be among a dozen sites featured on the 26th Soroptimist Secret Gardens Tour on July 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Saratoga Springs, Ballston Spa and Schuylerville. All proceeds support people and programs that improve the lives of women, girls and their communities through Saratoga Soroptimists, the local chapter of an international professional women’s service organization.
