Uganda Cranes Captain and number one goal keeper Dennis Masinde Onyango retires from national team football.
This follows a bitter split between the FUFA president Moses Magogo and most members of the national team.

The FUFA president accused players of playing shi*ty football during their AFCON encounter with Malawi that led to their disqualification from the tournament.

In a leaked audio, the cranes captain swore not to play for the cranes if Magogo is still the president. He also accused Mr. Magogo of embezzling salaries and uniforms meant for the national team players.
He stressed that he is tired of making money for the FUFA president and his cronies to embezzle and it's looks like that triggered his retirement from national football.

Onyango's retirement follows the recent resignation of another senior member of the national team and assistant captain Hassan Waswa Mawanda who also declared his resignation over the weekend.
