This weeks profile, we bring you our own Director Zaki Chris Shinali a.k.a Ssalongo Pro Max. He is a musician, songwriter, singer, audio Producer, video director and Filmmaker.
He is passionate and persistent to doing what he loves.
Zaki Chris is the founder and director of of Shinali Films, T-One Productions and GTS TV Entertainment
Zaki started music production way back in 2011 while he was still in school.
Along music production, he collaborated with other friends who were doing films in school and they made some films where Zaki was specifically doing music/sound design for film.
In 2020, Zaki Chris started to make short skits and video clips just for fun inspired by the art of Smartphone Filmmaking. However the passion grew stronger and he eventually took up filming as his second career after music.
Zaki Chris runs a charity organization called Shinali Foundation located in Mbale district, whose purpose is to discover and promote rural talents in Music, Dance, Drama and filmmaking.
Zaki has so far shot a number films including Dramatic African mother, The other Side of Me, Villagemates, High School Saga, Break Loose Series season 1 & 2, The church Girl, Echoes Of Solitude, Mysterious Spot and other short films which were all shot using iPhone.
