Hi, , My family and my husband/in-laws do not get along, and I have been stuck in the middle of this for about five years.
I'm not here to ask who is right and who is wrong. The details of the situation are long, complicated, and could fill a novel. I just want to know how to stop being the messenger, the mediator, the peacekeeper, etc. Because every time there's a disagreement, they go through me.
I love my family, I love my in-laws, but my mental health can't take any more arguing. They're both right and they're both wrong, but they need to deal with each other instead of going through me. It's getting to a point where I feel like everyone is now angry with me for not starting an all out war with the "other side" and joining their "team". It isn't supposed to be like this, it's supposed to be all one team, all one family.
I'm tired of feeling like a referee, I'm failing at keeping the peace, and now it's all falling on me. How do I tell them- all of them, that if they have beef with each other, talk to each other about it, without sounding like a total jerk?

Am I avoiding something in my life by crushing on a married co-worker? At a work party last December, late into the night, I ran into him and confessed my inner thoughts about him that I was into him, and that once I found out he was married, I was disappointed and frustrated (but in a very complimentary way).
At one point I told him that if he ever got a divorce, I'd want to go out with him. Later that night, we made out. As I will never talk about this with him or with others, it's become this unspoken thing. Secret tension exists, random glances between us make me nervous and excited, and conversations with eye contact (ugh). I don't have to interact with him often, so that's ideal. I can't imagine that this is good for me, but I can't diagnose what’s going on. I want to so I can get rid of this inappropriate crush.
Could I be avoiding something?

Hey Privah,
I slept with someone in order to get a job. Well, he continued sleeping with me after I got the job and we ended up falling in love. He divorced his wife and we got married in 2021. We have a daughter and son together now. However, in January this year, he hired a new personal assistant at our company. I don't know if I'm overthinking, but I don't like how he looks at her. It seems like there's something they are doing outside work. I confronted him about it and he told me to resign and be a housewife if I have a problem with the people he hires. Maybe it's paranoia playing with my mind, but I feel like that young girl is about to replace me. I'm a Christian but I have been having many African thoughts in my head.
