Police in Kampala are hunting for merciless killers who stabbed a business man to death on Monday night as he returned home after a long working day.
The deceased who residents identified as Jack Mulika, was discovered on Tuesday morning lying motionless at the railway crossing in Kireka, one of Kampala suburbs with his severed body in a pool of blood. His car was also nearby.

Mao who was sick during the national identity card registration process presented a voters Identity card to be nominated but it was rejected.

Addressing supporters at Gulu District Council Hall, he said after leaving hospital he tried contacting Internal Affairs Minister late Gen. Aronda Nyakairima who promised to sort the ID issue but died few days later.


On 16th October, Mao wrote a letter to the Internal Affairs State Minister James Baba requesting for the Issuance of the National ID.

In the letter, he noted that the Executive Director in charge of National IDs and the Operations Director said it is possible to exercise discretion of the ID to him but they required a written instruction from the minister.

Independent Presidential candidate John Patrick Amama Mbabazi has suspended his presidential campaigns, and travelled to London to see his sick wife.

The Go Forward candidate yesterday said he expects to come back with Jacqueline Mbabazi who has been bedridden in London, UK for months.

“Dear Friends, I would like to inform you all that we will have a slight postponement of the next leg of our campaign tours. This is as a result of my travel to visit with my wife and her anticipated return this week,” he posted on social media yesterday.

Motor Sport Publicity Boss, Hajji Juma Nkambwe Dead.

The Motorsport fraternity in the country is mourning the death of the long serving Federation publicist Hajji Juma Nkambwe.

Nkambwe died on monday morning at Gwatiro Hospital in Bweyogerere following a high blood pressure attack at his office moments after dropping his children to school.


It is said that Nkambwe arrived at his office in good mood before he was seen falling down and later rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The deceased has been publicist Chairman for the FMU for the last six years and his demise is a great blow to the motor sport fraternity in Uganda.

He is a former rally driver and a well-known SC Villa die-hard.

MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE..............!!!!!!!!!!!!

Runners up: Uganda Cranes (CHAN team).Sports Journalists body (USPA) has named the rally crew of Ronald Ssebuguzi (driver) and Leone Ssenyange (navigator) the best sports personalities of the month of October after winning the Total UMOSPOC Independence day rally.

During the monthly press meeting held at Imperial Royale hotel, Kampala, the members first had a moment of silence in memory of two fallen sports personalities in Harriet Apako (Netball and handball) and Hajj Juma Nkambwe (Motor sport).

Total Inject Cash in the Independence Rally

TOTAL Uganda has today donated 2,500 litres of fuel worth Shs9.5 million to this weekend’s UMOSPOC Independence rally, the sixth round of this season’s National Rally Championship scheduled to take place in Buikwe, Luweero, and Mukono.

Total Uganda has also fully facilitated John Consta, who is fourth on the National Rally Championship log with TOTAL Quartz Lubricants, fuel and cash.


Presenting a dummy cheque at Total Head Office 8th Industrial Area in Kampala this morning, Total Uganda Human Resource & Administration Manager Susan Nampala said the rally will be a good testing ground for TOTAL’s products, particularly lubricants which have age resistance technology to keep engines younger for longer.

Fun and excitement filled Soroti public gardens as school children celebrated their achievements of being named the top token collecting schools in the Hi Five Puzzle Challenge promotion that was launched three weeks ago.
“We plan to award the leading schools in the different regions with an activity we have called a “Fun Day.” During these fun days, we basically engage the children by taking part in co-curricular activities.

We have kick started the fun days here in the Soroti at Lifeway primary school that is in the lead so far in the Eastern region,” commented Isaac Lutwama Unilever East Africa Spreads Brand Manager.

Over 300 children were treated to lots of exciting activities that included face painting, aerobics, and insightful discussions around optimal nutrition as well as an awards ceremony where the top school teachers and pupils received Blue Band hampers.

Minister Rukutana Survives Mob Justice.
Chaos ensued as a minister Rukutana and city tycoon Bob Kabonero fled in different directions from charged members of Rushenyi.

Rukutana survived being beaten by locals who accused him of interfering in their matter without their consent.

This happened at a meeting held at J&M hotel in Bwebajja that was facilitated by the NRM chairperson H.E Yoweri Museveni to discuss the issues of Rushenyi NRM elections, the delegates from Rushenyi ran violent when they saw Rukutana arrive at the Hotel.

Private Wilson Cheptai a Drunken UPDF Officer Sentenced to 50 Years for Shooting to Dead 2 Women.

The General Court Martial sitting at Makindye has sentenced today () a UPDF soldier to 50 years imprisonment after found guilty of murdering two women in Luzira by shooting.

A Seven Member court chaired by Maj. Gen Levi Karuhanga unanimously agreed that Private Wilson Cheptai should serve a long a custodial sentence so as to act as an example for other trigger happy soldiers. On the night of 16th, April 2010, at Luzira lake side Bristol bar, a drunken private Cheptai shot dead Regina Abar and Mariam Alunyo after the 3 got in to a quarrel.
