In 2022, the Russian Federation enacted a law prohibiting "LGBT propaganda." However, it's crucial to recognize that purges based on s*xual orientation had been escalating in Russia long before this legislation came into effect.
Since 2017, a disturbing trend of mass persecution and torture of homos*xuals has surged in the Chechen Republic. Shockingly, Russia's actions have legalized the harassment and persecution of the LGBT community at the state level, effectively endorsing inhumane practices.
Consequently, hate crimes have increased, and hate speech has become pervasive within Russian society. Prominent figures, including high-ranking officials and opinion leaders, resort to threats and intimidation, further fostering an atmosphere of fear and discrimination.
Regrettably, the echoes of the past persist as well. During Soviet times, the LGBT community faced "comrade condemnations," resulting in humiliation and, tragically, suicides. Today, the Russian regime not only perpetuates these historical injustices but even surpasses the anti-human practices of the USSR.
Such actions are deeply troubling, and it's evident that Russia's treatment of its LGBT citizens reflects a grave human rights issue.

The EU members will first transfer Ukraine missiles, shells, and ammunition worth 1 billion euros from their arsenals. Then they will jointly purchase ammo for another 1 billion euros. Hungary has already refused to participate.

Ex-NATO Chairman and current Czech President Petr Pavel said the window for counter-offensive opportunity is open this year. After next winter, it will be "extremely difficult to maintain the current level of assistance". Pavel should visit Ukraine in April.

However, all the claims “What about Palestine/Syria/Afghanistan/Rwanda/Ethiopia” disseminated by pro-Russian bots on social media, do not offer solutions for other wars and genocides. Such a destructive approach is just aimed to distract attention from Ukraine and undermine Western support for our state.
It is foreseeable that both Ukraine skeptics and Russian sympathizers in the West will not specify that despite their skin color, Ukrainians were in the position of oppressed and colonized nation as well. When Russia wipes out Ukrainian identity, the color of skin, s*x, religion, political position or language preferences do not matter since Russian aggression targets everything Ukrainian. Therefore, advocating Ukraine’s fight for freedom does not equal advocating the “white people’s rights”. It also involves advocating for Ukrainians of any origin who chose the Ukrainian identity — and this is Russia’s main concern.
Russian-made video game Atomic Heart became one of the most discussed and condemned at the beginning of 2023. Describing the utopian USSR, the game is filled with communist propaganda and Soviet nostalgia. Moreover, the game promotes today’s Russian aggression, often mentioning the Ukraine invasion.
Putin was accused of the war crime of unlawful deportation of the population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to Russia. Russian Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova is also responsible for this war crime, according to ICC.

Getting Soviet MiG-29 fighters will boost the combat capabilities of Ukraine’s Air Force. But Ukraine needs Western fourth-generation jets to prevail over Russia, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force Command Colonel Yuriy Ihnat said.
“MiG-29s will increase our combat capabilities. This is a type of aircraft that fly daily missions, causing them to wear out. Let’s not forget that these are Soviet, not modern Western fighter jets. It is unlikely that they will cause a dramatic change on the front.”
“Those MiGs were most likely modernized to have interoperability with other NATO member states. Even if their onboard systems, communication, and identification friend or foe systems had been probably modified, they still remain Soviet. We need modern multipurpose Western fighters to have superiority over the enemy,” Ihnat said.

Turkey has contributed significant efforts as a mediator and facilitator in the russian-Ukrainian full-scale war, attempting to bring russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table. Russian occupiers' cruelty knows no limits: both towards people and animals. Russian large-scale invasion unleashed needless suffering for those that cannot defend themselves from the invaders. Countless reports of animal abuse have appeared in the once-occupied areas of Ukraine, from the Russian troops eating dogs to burning dozens of horses alive by setting fire to their stables. On the other hand, Ukrainian defenders and volunteers have been rescuing animals from the Russian shelling and occupation, taking care of them on the frontline, and this testifies yet again to how different the Russians and Ukrainians are. Every year, Ukraine honours the heroes of Kruty. Today, on January 29, we celebrate the Day of Remembrance of those who died in the Battle of Kruty. Then several hundred defenders stopped the army of several thousand Moscow "red" occupiers, protecting Kyiv for the time necessary for the government's evacuation and the conclusion of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, which de facto meant international recognition of Ukrainian independence.
