How much time and effort an artist should invest in social media?
If it was up to me 0, or just the bare minimum and mostly focus on creating. But of course that is not the case today, on the contrary if you wish to perform in front of a crowd you have to have a social media presence, the bigger the better and less important the content you provide.

I think it’s a negative effect on any artform, as it takes away the focus from the Art itself, demotivates the Artists from perfecting, polishing his craft and forcing him to worry more about Likes and Followers rather than his creativity. So until we wake up or this bubble bursts lets create for the sake of Art and not Likes.
