MY FRIEND KICKED ME AND MY WIFE OUT OF HIS WEDDING – HIS REASON STUNNED ME.

My wife and I were invited to my friend's wedding. It was a pretty intimate gathering, with about 70 people, mostly family.

After the ceremony, the food came out, and it looked amazing. It was a buffet setup. They were calling tables up a few at a time to get their food, starting with the family of both sides. That made sense. But by the time our table was called, there was nothing left. I asked if more food was coming out, but apparently, that ship had already sailed. We managed to scrape together what little was left and went back to our seats to eat the scraps.

"Excuse me..." the man approached. "Can I get a room for the night?"

"What's the matter?" Mr. Watson, the concierge, turned around, only to stop dead in his tracks. "GOSH...WHAT IS THAT AWFUL SMELL!?"

"Sir, I missed the last bus to the city. It's raining heavily...and I need a room for the night."

An awful rage gushed into Mr. Watson's eyes. "A room? For you? Didn't you see the board outside? This is a five-star hotel...not some charity shelter for vagabonds to crash for the night...Just look at you...you should consider a quick trip to the toilet first. YOU STINK LIKE CRAP! OUT!"

"But, sir, I don't want to rent a room for free. I'll pay for it," the helpless man pleaded.

"There's strictly no entry for unkempt guests like you... OUT, OR I'LL HAVE TO CALL SECURITY!"

The man was disappointed as he lifted his shabby, old suitcase and turned around.

"Get the floor cleaned up again...Gosh...he stinks!" he added, disgusted.

I TOOK A WRONG TURN AND ENDED UP IN A TOWN WHERE EVERY ROOF WAS PAINTED GREEN – WHEN I MET WITH THE LOCALS, I FLED AS FAST AS I COULD!

Okay, I know there are a lot of weird places in the US, but it looks like I stumbled upon the weirdest of them all. I was on a road trip with my son when the GPS told me to take a turn onto an old, bumpy road. I hesitated for a second but followed the instructions. Oh, I wish I hadn't.

After an hour of driving down this bumpy road, I knew it was leading me the wrong way, and I found myself completely lost. My son started getting fussy, so I hurried to find a place where I could feed him. This is how I drove into this strange town. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the town; they didn't have a welcome sign.

I slowed down, looking around for a McDonald's or at least a gas station, but all I could see were one-story houses with green roofs. All the roofs in town were green. It looked strange but not particularly disturbing. The disturbing things were yet to come.

Finally, I stopped next to an old, shady diner. By this point, my son Noah was already crying, so I didn't have much of a choice. I parked in the empty lot and walked in. There were two men sitting at a table and an old lady working there. They all turned around when I walked in and stared as if I wasn't supposed to be there.

"Um… Are you guys open? I wanted to order lunch for my son to go." I didn't want to admit that I was lost. It sounded like a bad idea. The lady looked me up and down. One of the men answered for her.

"Leave your phone in the car, and then your son can eat here." That's when it struck me — there was no radio, TV, and not even a cash register in this place. Okay. I only needed some oatmeal and fruit. I could get through this. I went back to the car, pretending to leave my phone. Instead, I just turned the sound off and hid it in my pocket. There was no signal anyway.

When I came back inside, the air was stiff. I took a seat to look at the menu, and then the two men came over to me. What they told me about the town still makes me shiver. The full story of how I made it out of there is in the comments below

Two days before they were supposed to drive up to Connecticut, Mark called Anna. "Honey, I have bad news!" he said. "I'm on a plane. The board wants me up in Colorado to sort out a labor issue, which means I'll be flying directly to Connecticut on Saturday morning, if at all. I'm sorry, you won't be able to go with me!"

Anna was very disappointed. "Oh, no!" she gasped, I'm so sorry. But what about your gift? Do you want me to have it delivered?"

Mark sighed with relief. Anna was taking it well. "Baby, that would be brilliant! Let me give you my parents' address..."

Anna hung up the phone. Poor Mark! He sounded so disappointed! She stared down at his parents' address and an idea popped into her head. Why not deliver the gift in person? It would be a lovely surprise for Mark!

That it would be a mistake didn't even cross Anna's mind until she knocked on the door of Mark's parents' house and a slender older woman answered.

So, one day, my wife comes home in TEARS, like absolutely shattered. She’d just been to the bank, and what went down there was enough to crush anyone. Sarah, my wife, had gone in with our newborn daughter, Lily. They sat down with the bank clerk, and as soon as the guy looked at her ID (which, yeah, was taken pre-baby), he gave her this nasty smirk and said, loud enough for everyone to hear:

“Wow, this must be an old photo. Motherhood's been... DIFFERENT for you, huh?”

Can you imagine? Sarah was devastated. She told me, choking back sobs, “I was completely mortified, Ed. I just wanted to disappear. But I had to hold it together for Lily. I finished the transaction, holding her close like some kind of shield. And then I just bolted out of there, wanting to get as far away from that bank as possible.”

I swear, my anger went from zero to volcanic in about two seconds.
