Heavily edited down video of a bad dyno day.
Slowly creeping to 90whp….But it probably is actually 90 due to the dyno being upgraded and calibrated wrong (all bikes since are now making lower figures than before), stock airbox, ecu and wrong fuel (used cheap gas instead of E20 which it is setup for) this is the GP2 system which makes 72+ on a stock 900km new bike anyway.
The R7M system will make more peak power with a little less torque.

So if it’s not mapped why is it more powerful?
Old school trick with the injectors and a video will come out soon explaining everything.

Oh that’s Yamaha the actual company making a video and studying the bike as it’s the most powerful R7 and they are starting a race series so they wanted to see how we did it and that was when it was only 72whp so imagine their surprise when it had more!

Both are ultra light, sound amazing, looks great and most importantly will make more power, gauntlet thrown down to the big companies who are stuck with cats and eu regs.

Busy testing presently, design is finished just minor things to sort as per usual so it’s a bolt on and forget equal with any high end system.
I’m very fussy and spent months developing and spending lots on this project, nothing short of perfect will be acceptable from welds, bends and fitment, my QC is known as being over the top which is why it’s taken so long!

I’m planning (hoping) to release by the end of month, worst case first week of February with PayPal and worldwide shipping.

Here’s my last post for 2021…
Some extra shots from a photoshoot for Zeus Helmets.
The helmet is pretty awesome, gold visor, matching graphics (they do many including the same Yamaha style in blue), quality build with decent ventilation and comfort for under $100 and it’s ECE legal.
-not an advert, I bought this helmet!-

On a separate note, thick dark hoodies in a tropical country in central Bangkok are not a very good idea 😅

Had dozens of requests, wasn’t something I wanted to do but I cannot ignore what people want.
So the R1M style exhaust installed on my R7.
Weighs absolutely nothing and you really feel it (or should I say don’t?) however on a stock bike the loss of torque at low rpm is quite noticeable, pulls hard up top however. Obviously needs an ecu remap to make full use of this very high flowing straight through system.
Oh it’s also incredibly loud…. Like, really “I hate neighbours, people and the world” loud!
But a good loud, the Yamaha CP2 engine always sounds amazing when given the chance!

But I understand how this style is popular as it’s very OEM/official looking.

Will be offering these very cheap at sub $500 once site goes live.
Also don’t bother with titanium for this system, it weighs so little anyway it’s diminishing returns on this setup.

Sounds freaking awesome and bike feels much faster with a huge punch off idle that slams the top yoke into your face, then after 8000rpm to redline it starts lifting again with a second wind, then punching into second repeats the process.
If you short shift 1st-2nd you get epic wheelies 😅
Parked up next to the R7 is the 28WHP 180cc MT15 and my daughters super sick Z8…. 6v battery powered 🤣

I never posted about the baby MT did I?

Was/is supposed to be the wife’s bike, but got bored and threw the kitchen sink at it….. so spec:

Ohlins front springs and heavy oil
Ohlins rear shock with rebound
Yamaha R 4 piston brake calliper
RCB radial master cylinder
Akrapovic from R6 and Thai header
180cc big bore kit (may go 230…)
Replacement CNC big valve head
High lift cam
33mm throttle body
Espada big coil/plug
Some Thai large intake
ARacer stand-alone ecu (amazing!)
Probably more I forget 😂

Makes 28WHP at 10500-12,000rpm
Has vvt like vtec that kicks in at 8k feels like a 2 stroke.

It’s like a baby supermoto, hilarious city bike and so easy to ride even in this state.
Despite the cam and high rpm 2 stroke like engine it makes tons more torque than stock anyway, so much so I had to gear it up 3 teeth and still 1st is too short 😂
With me at 95kg and acting like a sail it goes well over 140kph so a normal teen or local person probably over 150 top speed even with the short gearing.

Anyway worlds fastest 7-11 bike I think?

Guess dropping 10kgs+ paid off, I fit on the new R7 (I don’t fit on the R6!) 😁
This is the first one to arrive in Thailand and I was the first to order one in black but mine won’t be black nor have euro5 exhaust or ecu…. Will be homage to 2 legends and also some little Easter eggs hidden 🤫
Yep over 3x less power than the Bking but 60-70kg lighter and I adore the little 700cc cp2 twin so much and with the new kyb usd suspension and radial brakes on this dressed up MT07 its perfect for Bangkok and occasional track use.

Completely rebuilt E30 M3 chassis anyone?
One year, almost all metal replaced, reinforced and treated to more modern protections which BMW sadly never did back in the 80s.
So it’s a 51/49 split in favour of the V12 engine, pretty much the same for me too 😂
If the V12 fits without any issue then I will make it so 👉

Colour stolen from a prestigious and exclusive brand, hard to guess in this lighting but it’s from Germany and getting the mix right requires a lot of work as they don’t like sharing their bespoke colour 🤔

Nearly finished, I would say another month or so.

Stunning inside and out, such a rare find here in Thailand.
Wonderful to drive, peak JDM perfection 👌🏻

Thanks to my friend Issac for the pleasure of driving his mint condition of the best and rarest supra there is.

How is it?

Sublime, perfection, wonderful… it’s almost up there with an E46 M3, which I would of never imagined it to be.
Steering feel, brakes, engine, interior are just amazing and make a Skyline from the same time feel like a Nissan sunny.

No idea why people compare the two as they are leagues apart in quality and feel.

Also VVTI makes a massive difference in low rpm power, 2JZ tuners should be slapping the VVTI heads on instead of adding larger turbos etc.

Well before turning a car from 1984 into a supercar killer it’s probably a good idea to take it to the number one expert in R30/31 skylines for a deep inspection.

I know she’s incredibly solid, in fact I met the owners friend by accident when I sold my supercharger a few days ago who just happened to own the largest car tuning magazine/site in the country and he was very kind and helpful in letting me know who this expert was and who in fact serviced and upgraded my car over many years.
He knew every detail and upgrade made as it was himself that did them all!

He was delighted to see the car again and remembers every detail from when he last serviced her, so within minutes he had a small list of faults, which scared me at first….

But so far it’s been good news, just fuel lines, rubber hoses and a fuel filter.
Also silly little things like lightbulbs and a wiper not working.
So quite a relief ☺️

The good news is new hoses means I can go ethanol… or is that bad news for a 1.1 ton car with a 2.9 stroker on the way 😬

Anyway I will update through the week as I can.
Due to lockdown I can’t go there and do videos (mrs benchmarks orders have me under house arrest until this virus calms down) so pictures are all I can do presently.

But later today I will have a update for you.

Worlds fastest R30 anyone?
RB29 NEO stroker, G30-770 turbo, R31 house headers, forged internals, short shift manual with mods to suit. ( r31 exhaust manifold sounds or****ic like F1 hit YouTube!) and a ton of other stuff.
Power potential?
2.0 bar 700whp+
1.5 bar 550whp+
1.0 bar 450whp+
Gonna need lead weights to stop her from taking off and joining bezos and Elon 😆

1.1 tonnes… no abs, no airbags, no crash safety tests… have i lost my mind 😂

Well you only live once and to own the worlds fastest RB R30 and also have it 100% original everywhere it can be and even lifting the hood looking stock, she will be something special and also valuable (already is) 🤣

Hopefully finish by Christmas if I don’t hit the high boost button and die with the 225 tyres 😬

So as you know I am a family man now so need something more practical than the 2.5 door rx8, not practical at all with the roads in Thailand being so awful, wrecking my bumper so many times just cruising on the roads due to the insane poor conditions they are in, whilst breaking our backs despite suspension set to softest 😂

So when in Rome….

This is a Toyota Fortuner, the most popular vehicle in south east Asia.
For many years I have hated suvs ( still do ) and pickups but slowly I began to understand why these are so popular, it’s not so much for off roading, it’s because the roads are so bad here you literally need a indestructible car with high ride height and serious suspension to survive them.

This car is the very definition of indestructible, they are based on the famously impossible to die hilux (watch top gear) only with better independent suspension and more luxurious interior… I’ll dive in to that when it’s finished as it’s pretty damn cool for rear passengers.

Anyway in Thailand they cane with Camry 4 cylinders or really rubbish Diesel engines… as you know from my car habits that would not fly with me.

The awesome thing about these cars is the massive engine bay and the almost plug and play ability of receiving almost any 90s Toyota engine without any silly issues, just bolt in, wire up and go (no canbus!)

So a close friend of mine had an epic yet unfinished project which happened to have a very special and large Toyota engine known to last a million miles and tons of incredible extras you do not get in Asia (alcanatara, black interior etc) plus the best TRD body kit and a whole heap of brand new running gear, suspension arms, brakes, bushes… everything basically factory new.

Been working on this secretly for months now and she’s 90% finished with paint work being done in a very special colour along with some serious brakes for the serious torque monster engine.

I hate suvs but for the family in Thailand this is the ultimate end of the world indestructible, reliable road monster.

Full spec of everything when she’s done, promise you this will be an epic car yet still very sensible and probably outlast me and carry on to my daughter.
If we ever move back to the west this is gonna be on a container as it’s just that awesome.

Any guesses to the engine?

This turbo upgrade as been a nightmare, original builder of my custom greddy gave me the wrong housing which was too small.
The turbo boosted instantly from idle which was awesome but then would surge and over speed the exhaust wheel.
Tried to get another housing or .AR as we say but to cut a long story short the builder was a complete ***hole and so I cancelled the whole thing and got a refund…. Shame as I had speced/designed an awesome combo.

Anyway found another awesome greddy from someone who isn’t difficult and well let’s see…

Basically same thing with modern billet wheel and improved internals, still custom but not my original design 😞

This is the incredibly rare Greddy TD06-20G originally made for the non vvti 1JZ.
Capable of well over 400whp and should spool quicker than the original CT15B… let’s see 😬

Time to replace the pos turbo that nearly killed my 1JZ.
Don’t buy what I had, I won’t say anymore 🤐

Custom design by myself based on a Greddy housing with IHi internals and a genuine billet wheel (not fake, no names 🤐)

Keeping the specs secret for now as this is basically a calculated (really calculated to the point I was losing my mind with maths and numbers) if I got it right, it will spool the same or faster than the stock ct15b and also give more top end power with less boost with the amazing benefit of being able to boost to the moon if your engine can take it.

If I’m wrong on the spec I have a backup, this one is the larger version ☺️

How can I claim boost to the moon?
I’m using diesel internals and wheels designed for 60psi!😲
So she should be plenty strong for 25psi I think 😁

Have to finish making a special adapter for the manifold as I’m creating this as a direct bolt on replacement for the ct15b.

Wonder why I haven’t had any car content?
Well allow me to introduce my treasure Leilani Annette Kelly, she has taken up all of my time and , plus the rampant COVID has put a serious pause on things.
Safe to say this is the most important project of my life and always will be.
My father was never around for me and I will never repeat that cycle.

But I am still plugging ahead, I do have a special new V8 build nearly complete, skyline is getting a big upgrade and the RX8 suffered a seriously catastrophic setback which I am presently fixing (check 1JZ vvti group on Facebook).

Once I get time there will be some videos, they will be very interesting for sure.
