"While packing up my grammy's house to move her into an assisted living facility next month, we found her wedding dress in her attic! 63 years later she tried it on and it still fits! This is a picture of her holding her original wedding photo from 1953. My mom (their daughter) is taking this picture and you can see her face reflecting off the glass. My grandma Ruth stayed married to my grandpa Jack his entire life until he died in 2000. She misses him every day. They had a love that spanned the ages. People should know this kind of love is real and is worth waiting for."

"""I was watching the video of this officer who saved this baby life who was 3 months at the time, he was off duty headed home until he seen this white car flagged him, he stopped and this black lady jumped out her car holding her lifeless baby boy the officer immediately jumped outta his car took the baby outta her hands did CPR on the baby! He called for help and told the mother to jump in her car while he took the baby in his police car to a nearby hospital!! If it wasn't for this officer this baby would've never made it!! Thanks to this officer Jay Nix he saved the baby life!! He posted a couple hours ago saying ""HIS GOD SON"" Is now 7 months old, and the baby spends the weekend with them and nights!! This baby was placed in his life for a reason....it's still good officers out here and it's not always about the color, this story was very touching ❤️🙏🏾

"Please say a prayer for my daughter, Winslow, who goes in for open-heart surgery today at Primary Children’s Hospital. She was born with Pulmonary Atresia, a VSD, and Dextrocardia. We were hoping this surgery would be her last but we received a call from her surgeon last night that her VSD was worse than they thought and there is a chance they can’t close it. If he can’t they can’t put in the artificial pulmonary valve and will have to do something different and will need a possible third open-heart surgery. Please pray for comfort for my family, her team of doctors, and her. I have a strong belief in the power of prayer and know we can use all the prayers we can get.

I’m asking if y’all could please pray for my husband. He was in a head on collision yesterday and had to have emergency back surgery on his spine and he is in so much pain. I feel so helpless. I just want to take all the pain away!! He is the most dedicated, hard working person I know and it kills me seeing him like this. He has a broken shoulder that they are waiting to operate on next week. He isn’t able to move or feel much in his legs. I just hope my hubby will be able to walk again.

"Two weeks ago, my 90-year-old mother, Catherine Ritchie, was preparing herself for bed at around 9pm. After brushing her teeth and hair, she turned around to find her bed completely engulfed in flames. She made an attempt to extinguish the flames herself by throwing blankets and pillows on the fire. The smoke and heat were so overwhelming that she immediately got disoriented, gave up fighting the fire, and decided to flee. She pushed the emergency call button she wears on her necklace, called 911, and attempted to get out of her now engulfed bedroom. She walked into the closet several times thinking it was the door that leads to the hallway. It wasn’t. She couldn’t find her way out. She was stuck. Smoke everywhere.

Across the street, 4 boys saw the smoke and reflection of flames. Not an adult in sight. 4 kids who took immediate action to save an elderly woman who they couldn’t guarantee was home and who 3 of them had never even met. One started breaking the glass on the front door. One called 911. One went to the back door and began kicking it in. One went to the neighbors for an ax and help. Within minutes, a door was kicked in by a 14-year-old child who found my mother in the hallway outside of her bedroom and picked her up in his arms. Kids who are told about all the things they aren’t old enough to do saved the life of the most precious and beloved woman we know. Courageous young men. Young men who risked their own lives, their own safety, perhaps their good standing with their parents who might have chosen for them to do otherwise, and they carried my mother out of her burning home into the street, where firetrucks and ambulances would soon arrive.

Dylan Wick – 16 years old, Nick Byrd – 14 years old, Seth Byrd – 16 years old, and Wyatt Hall – 17 years old, thank you! Thank you for your selfless acts of heroism and courage. Thank you for not allowing this to be the tragic end to our mother’s amazing life. Thank you for staying with her, hugging her, and helping her feel less alone until we could get to her. Thank you for being the kind of young men who thought about another person above yourselves. Thank you for staying safe yourselves as well. Thank you to your parents who obviously raised you in such a way that lead to you making life saving and heroic decisions on behalf of someone else. “8 years ago, today Iver was born. 👶

My wife, Robyn, who’s brain had stopped working, but her body and heart had been keeping Iver alive for weeks 22-28 of her pregnancy, would be taken off of life support.

The 5 hours between meeting Iver and saying goodbye to Robyn were the hardest moments of my life. I lost my wife, but I was given the gift of becoming a father to my little miracle man. Iver was born 2lbs 13oz, and we spent the next 12 weeks in the NICU before I came home with him.

Today, he’s 8. He’s incredibly smart, funny, caring, outgoing, loving, thoughtful, adventurous, and kind. I’m grateful for every day with this wonderful boy, and for the gift of being his father. ❤️❤️❤️

"My husband has had hip pain for a few months which turned into a limp. He got an MRI yesterday and we found out he has bone cancer, two different kinds. There are a lot of unknowns until we can see an oncologist next week but my heart hurts. Our four little boys need their dad and so do I. I need to know there are many people praying for him. If you read this, can you please stop and say a prayer for him? His name is Brian Oldroyd. It would mean the world to me. ❤️

"“So this happened in Montana. I'm on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled over by a police officer.

I am native American and my friend that was with me is black. Just saying.

Both brake lights decided to go out this time.

As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said,

""Don't worry about pulling anything out. I just want you to know that your brake lights are out.""

So I'm immediately upset, because I just got them replaced like last month.

So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car.

He looked at me like 😨 and told me to pop the trunk.

He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn't come on.

So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one.

Then worked on the wiring under the dash.

He could've easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role, and into mechanic role, and human role to make sure I was straight.

By the way HE FIXED THEM. Not everyone is racist, or a bad cop.”

"For those who don't know, we've spent the last 2 days in Arkansas Children's Hospital. Sunday night around 9pm, I bathed my 6 week old daughter, gave her a warm bottle and laid her down in her bassinet for the night. I knew with her newborn schedule I'd be up again with her around midnight. I drifted off around 10. At 1:15am exactly, I woke up suddenly (knowing I shouldn't have slept that long) and went to Camilla. She looked like she was sleeping really hard so I put my hand on her.
She wasn't breathing, was limp and she was ice cold. I started shaking her and yelling her name. She still wouldnt move and her eyes were shut. I started screaming her name and shook the bassinet but she didn't move. As I was screaming, her dad scooped her up and I saw how limp and gray she was in his arms and her chest wasn't moving. I watched as he rocked her and begged her to move, but her arms and head were just hanging limp. He even put his face to hers to feel is there was any breathing, even if it was shallow. By the look on his face, I knew the answer. My baby was gone.
I lost it. I was shaking, crying and screaming and just dropped to the floor hollering and crying for God to help my baby. All I remember is yelling ""please Jesus help her! Make her breathe!"" over and over again. I don't know if this was seconds or minutes, but it felt like a lifetime.
At that moment I swear I looked at her and the color started going from gray to pink. I saw her arm give a small movement. I saw shallow breaths. I watched her come back.
SIDS ( Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) is real but God is greater.
We've been at Children's Hospital with her. She's had every test done imaginable. She's been monitored over night for apnea, scans, x-rays, even dieticians examining the way she eats.
The only diagnosis that all these tests was B.R.U.E.: (Brief Resolving Unexplained Event)
Even the doctors can't explain how she's here. No respiratory, heart, or any other issues.
I know I don't usually share things like this, but I had to . My baby was gone long enough to go ice cold and gray but I saw the life come back. If you ever had any doubts, God is REAL! Through His Grace is the only reason I'm holding my baby girl today."

This morning my granddaughter, baby Aurora finally had her surgery that we have been waiting for since January. We were blessed to have no more sickness, cancelations, or getting bumped out again. Everything went wonderful. They did have to remove some scar tissue from her vocal cords which will allow her to breathe better and talk better in future days. Because mama Tiffany wanted them to do the broncostomy they realize that this needed to be done and the doctors told Tiffany thank you for following her mother’s intuition. They also removed scar tissue from her stoma ( opening for her trach). We are so grateful to finally be to this point and look forward to healing and better days ahead! Can’t wait to see this little girl in the pool! Thank you for all your mighty prayers and beautiful messages over these past nine months! We would not have made it without them. We have felt angels all around us as we have been carried and watched over daily.

"❤ Last weekend home owners found a 5-6 week old female eastern grey squirrel in their yard, crying and walking up to them, dehydrated and malnourished. They brought her in. It was apparent something had happened to mom and after a day or two she had braved her way down to seek help. They were told to please watch and listen for siblings and to call if they found any. The following day another call came, her brother had showed up mid day, very dehydrated and covered in fleas.
Here they are a couple days later, cleaned up, rehydrated, full bellies, and back together.
THIS is why when you can’t reunite with mom you ALWAYS make every effort to find them all, and this is why you NEVER, EVER separate siblings ❤"

“Y'all. This gentleman right here is Barry. He paid for my groceries when I realized I left my wallet in Emmy's diaper bag. The cashier had finished ringing everything up and gave me my total. After I couldn't find my wallet, the cashier and bagger graciously offered to suspend my order and put all my perishable items in a cooler so I could run home to get my wallet. I explained I live 20+ minutes away and by the time my kids and I would make it back an hour will have passed. It was already 7:00 and we still needed to eat dinner. I succumbed to the fact I would have to put an order in online and pick it up the following day. Trust me, I realize there are people with actual problems in this world, but at that moment, I felt completely defeated. My husband had just left for Texas and would be gone for two weeks and there was still so much to do at home. My son, who just got done helping me put everything on the conveyor belt kept asking what was wrong. In my frustration and anger (toward myself) I said through clenched teeth ‘I don't have my wallet; we have to leave’. Now comes the good part. In steps Barry asking, ‘How much is it?’ I profusely refuse, but Barry's persistent so I tell him my total. He hands his card to the cashier and looks at me and says ‘I've been there before. I understand. My wife recently died and if she were here, she'd want me to help you. So, I'm doing it for her, too.’ It might have been weird asking to take a picture, but he was my saving grace this evening. He's a reminder that there's plenty of good out there.”

"This is Sharon, my mother-in-law.
She taught me it’s important work to see someone for who they are and not what you expect.
When I first met my mother-in-law I had a hard time understanding her thick south Virginia accent. And she seemed a little bossy in that southern passive aggressive polite way. But I knew she was important to the love of my life, so I accepted her grudgingly as some of us do when family is forced on us.
After 5 years I still didn’t really know her.
When my wife got leukemia at 30. When our world was shattered and changed forever, Sharon very quietly and very firmly stepped into the role she was born for. She moved, with her dependent Vietnam vet husband, into our house and became Michele’s caretaker too.
Over the last two years she bought most of the groceries, cooked almost every meal, did most of the laundry and cleaning, drove both dependents to almost every one of the 300+ doctor appointments, sorted tens of thousands of pills, and made sure they were all taken on time at every hour every day.
And she did this when she herself was diagnosed with cancer 6 months ago. When she was getting a mastectomy. When she is going through chemo.
She hums when she works. She talks to herself when there’s no one to listen, and she goes about every day with humility and grace.
I took this photo before I left work this morning. She didn’t know I was there.
This, friends, is what greatness looks like in a quiet moment. Waiting on oatmeal to cook for her daughter for the 300th time since she got sick.
Not everyone gets to have a real-world superhero in their lives. And for this I am filled with gratitude every day.
