It's a wrap! Two intense days in the studio and now I am listening to the first raw mixes of our new album!
It has been a long time in the making. Originally, we had planned to record our second album in the summer of 2020. We had booked a cabin in the woods, found a technician with their equipment and were planning to spend a week rehearsing and recording. Unfortunately, we all know what happened that summer..
Two years later in the summer of 2022, we got together again to first see if making music together was still something we enjoyed after being separated for two years. We enjoyed it so much that we arranged an almost completely new set of tunes and started planning the recording of our second album again. Many of the tunes on the album reflect the years in solitude and uncertainty that came with being 2000 km apart during a pandemic.
This week, the long wait was over and we recorded the album. There are still some small things left, but the majority of the work is done. We are really excited to share this new music with you coming autumn!
A big thank you to our guest musicians, Henrike Wesp and Elm Wald for adding some beautiful bowing to our music. We are very happy that you wanted to join us in this musical adventure. Also a big thank you to Nils Johansson of B***erina Audio that kept our ears sharp and recorded our strings in a beautiful way.
