⭐️Happy publication day ⭐️ to ADDI’S AFRO written på Jaki Madi Susso & illustrated by Felicia Fortes!
Addi’s grandpa is a master at knitting hats! Every winter, he knits a whole bunch of new ones in every colour and shape you can imagine. But Addi already has at least a hundred and, besides, he HATES wearing them! “They itch and ruin my hair!” screams Addi, running hatless out the door with his snow racer.
On his way to go sledging, Addi meets lots of animals – a fox, an owl, a beaver, an ermine, and a moose. They all ask why he isn’t wearing a hat like the other kids. Over and over again, Addi has to explain that his ears don’t get cold as his hair keeps them warm. But that’s when the animals jump straight up into his hair! It’s crowded and chaotic as they all try to fit, and soon Addi is fed up. He shakes off the freeloaders, sending them tumbling into the snow. When the whole heap of them howl that they are cold, Addi has a brilliant idea. Maybe Grandpa’s knitted hats could save the day after all?
