Dayin (Mytrip//Angel Simitchiev) returns to Purlieu with his latest work. A spiritual follow up to his last entry on the label ("Light Is Polluting the City", 2020).This time around he aims for a calmer and more introspective listening state while still retaining his signature sounds of a harsher drone-ambient.
"When Did You Stop Looking at the Sky" was written as the musical equivalent of keeping your eyes open even if they start hurting because if you blink those sights that revealed themselves only for you might disappear. Stay awake at all costs.

But here we go again.

I havent released any new music in a while so I guess its about time.

My new album called "Falling Down A Colorful Hill" is an album I made when living in Atlanta in 2021 and it consists of four ambient tracks spanning around 40 minutes.

*** Day 22 Ljudvägg & Linus Schrab / V I C I M - Hidden Key ***
Malmö based artists Filip Forsström (Ljudvägg) and Linus Schrab present their premiere collaboration in sound. The process behind Hidden Key was initially a spontaneous recording of a synth loop sent to Filip. A piano track was sent back to Linus and a final iteration where the recording of Filips piano was analyzed into sequenceable fodder for Linus modular synth. Previously Filip and Linus have worked together as artist and label manager (Purlieu Recordings). They have also created a script (Tviburar) for the monome norns platform.

The tapes sould out in a matter of hours but there's an easy way to DIY your own. Included in the purchase for the digital version there are two bonus tracks. Side A and Side B which are the tape mixes that are used to duplicate the cassettes. So grab a C40 and start dubbing. If you really want to go all in we can send you the file for the original artwork.

~~~ Kurodama works with sampling and obsessive looping, feeding from field recordings, everyday objects, modular synths and circuit-bent devices. Kurodama's visual work as Papernoise is a household name in a majority of eurorack cases around the world.

Benjamin Mauch is a teacher and composer from Richmond, Virginia. His music features modular and analog synthesizers, with melody at the forefront. Be sure to check out his 10/10 album 'A (C)able Tethered to the Sky' (2020). ~~~
