If you need a visa, you can apply for a Hayya Entry Permit online through the Qatar Ministry of Interior's website. It usually takes 24 hours to get approval, and the fee is 100 QAR. Make sure to fill in all the information correctly to avoid any delays in the approval process.

3. Valid Car License: Your valid driver's license from Saudi Arabia is recognized and accepted in Qatar. You do not need to obtain an International Driving Permit (IDP) if you have a valid Saudi license. Make sure to carry your license with you while driving from Riyadh to Qatar.

4. Valid Saudi License and Residence Permit: Your Saudi license and residence permit must be valid for not less than 3 months before your travel date. If they are about to expire, make sure to renew them before you leave.

5. Passport: Your passport must be valid for not less than 6 months from the date of your arrival in Qatar. Check if your passport has enough blank pages for the visa stamp and other entry and exit stamps.

6. Personal Insurance: Qatar requires all visitors to have personal insurance covering medical emergencies and accidents. You can purchase this insurance online from the Ministry of Public Health website (MOPH).

7. Car Insurance: to enter Qatar you can get it thru the border and fee’s depend on how long you will stay in Qatar for us we paid 175 QAR 1 week..

Now that you have all the necessary documents and requirements let's move on to the next steps:

1. Choose the best time to travel and plan your route: The journey from Riyadh to Doha typically takes 4 to 5 hours, depending on the traffic and the border crossing time. To get to Salwa border from Riyadh, you can take the road going to Hofuf. However, if you prefer, you can take the Haradh route, which is an alternative route that is less crowded. It is recommended that you plan your trip during the daytime and avoid rush hours to minimize any delays. You can use GPS or online maps to find the best route to Salwa border and then to Doha.

2. Fill up your car's tank and bring snacks and water: You will be driving for a long distance, so make sure to fill up your car's tank and bring enough snacks and water for the journey. Always make sure to fill your tanks every Gas station you stop.

3. Follow traffic rules and regulations: Always obey traffic rules and speed limits while driving in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. A lots pf cameras along the way..

4. Reach Salwa border and complete the immigration process: Once you reach the Salwa border, you will need to complete the immigration process on both the Saudi and Qatari sides. The immigration officers are generally very friendly and will provide you with instructions on what documents you need to submit, including your visa and passport. Make sure to follow their instructions carefully to avoid any delays in the immigration process.

5. Enter Qatar and drive to Doha: Once you have cleared the immigration, you can enter Qatar and continue your journey to Doha. Follow the traffic signs and use GPS to navigate your way to your destination.

In summary, traveling from Riyadh to Doha via Salwa border requires careful planning and preparation. Make sure to have all the necessary documents and requirements, follow traffic rules, and obey immigration procedures to make your trip enjoyable and hassle-free.
