How are you doing today?
Long-time no see, I know. And I'm not gonna tell you it was 2020's fault.
No, no. It's not you, it's me.
But I'm here now, and I was thinking that maybe we could... I mean... If you feel the same of course, wait, I'm not saying to pick it up back to where we left off, but... At least start seeing each other again, a bit, maybe?
The thing is, I changed, I'm not the same străin agramat as I used to be. Ok I'm still agramat, yes, thank you for pointing that out, and sure, I will never stop being a străin wherever I go, but I still have a lot to give you my dear.
I won't let you know about all the fun things happening in town anymore, it sure gets repetitive at some point. I won't either write in Romanian anymore, this I'll keep for more private, intimate moments.
What I will do instead, is focus on the other side of things, the one where I tell you about the nicest places, where you and I can go on a date sometimes. Or I mean, as friends you know, doesn't have to be weird!!
Chill chill, i'm never gonna flood you, I swear. I'm not even gonna write you on a regular basis. If there's nothing to be said, nothing will be said. But, if from time to time, I hear about some little secret worth telling, I'll drop you a quick heads up.
Oh you're still reading? You know most people usually don't? Yeah I'm not just saying this, my feeling is: you really are different. Else you wouldn't be here in the first place. You wouldn't be looking for more than what you can get out of Bucharest at first glance. I guess we share this you and me: to not just go to random places, at random events, talk to random people. I mean it's nice sometimes to get out of your bubble, but the rest of the time, you should treat your bubble damn fine, cause it's your second home.
Ok, I'm not gonna keep you any longer, so here is what I have to say to you:

It's fresh and contains more hidden gems that popped up in this incredible city we call Bucharest. My only wish is to make it the go-to guide, for you, for your local friends, and for your expat friends. It's not our little secret anymore. Use it, share it, and keep this in mind: the day you want newcomers to have their best Bucharest memories, it might be just the right gift to make them.
