After a short hiatus during the summer season, we’re happy to
announce we’re back on track on the release duties. We’re excited to announce as we’ve been waiting more than you can imagine to get our hands on these tracks and be able to release them.
To better understand the concept of this album, we need to go
back in time, maybe more than 15 years, when PH42E [ Gonçalo Phase ]and JSwift joined forces, crossing and blending multiple music genres and influences on different bands.
Following a breakup with a band where they explored jazz, chill, electronic and jungle influences as musicians and producers, they decided to continue with their creative pursuit producing and playing music together.
From their early beginnings their work was all about the mind, the deep, heavily influenced by the autonomic movement, also displaying extreme accuracy, maturity and aesthetical sense. As they were getting some attention with their exquisite work, they had the oportunity to do some collabs, with fellow friends and companions, such as YLS (as seen on their first releases on Skalator Music ), Incendiario, and also taking James Powell out of his comfort zone as a rock vocalist and bringing him to unexplored territories.
During this period they got some of these tunes played on Loxy’s CX Podcasts and Bulb’s Into the Deep, amongst others, providing them a special spotlight not only on the Portuguese scene, but also outside borders, bringing them to major lineup events and well deserved recognition.
Before they expanded and explored new horizons on production techniques and musical outcomes becoming what we know them today for, “Early Reflections” is an album compiling some of the early and deep side of Neurotoxin, a time capsule and an ode to the golden days of the Autonomic universe.
Neurotoxin's Early Reflections come out on 20th October.
