One note, JTF2 was not only formed to take over Counter Terrorism duties from the RCMP but to replace our beloved tier one Regiment, the Canadian Airborne after it was disbanded following activities in Somalia.
That disbanding left a hole in our SF and it was meant to fill that gap.
