It is believed that after the martyrdom of Masjid al-Aqsa, Dajjal and Imam Mahdi will emerge immediately, although the signs of Imam Mahdi's arrival have not yet been fulfilled, and Dajjal, after Imam Mahdi's emergence, will come after 6-7 years, and after the signs of Imam Mahdi, there will be a considerable period before Imam Mahdi's emergence, and then Hazrat Isa (AS) will also emerge two years after Dajjal, meaning that Hazrat Imam Mahdi will emerge after 9 years.
Signs before the emergence of Imam Mahdi:
1 ) The Euphrates River will dry up, and a mountain of gold will appear, on which three caliphs and three kings will fight battles causing much devastation. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "If you come near the treasure of that gold, do not take anything from it." This event will happen one year before the arrival of Imam Mahdi.
2) Before Imam Mahdi, on the first day of Ramadan, there will be a solar eclipse, and on the night of the same day, a lunar eclipse will occur, something that has never happened before during Ramadan.
3) There will be bloodshed at Mina during the Hajj pilgrimage.
4) In the Levant, a righteous and pious person will be unjustly killed, and this news will spread throughout the world.
5) In the region of Syria, there will be a ruler named Abdullah bin Sufyan who will belong to the Banu Qalb tribe. He will be very oppressive and will commit adultery with a woman in the grand mosque of Sham. When news of Hazrat Imam Mahdi reaches him, he will raise an army against him, but this army will sink into the ground near Medina. After killing Abdullah bin Sufyan, Imam Mahdi will start a war against disbelief, followed by the battle of Hind four years after Imam Mahdi's emergence.
6) Then Christians and Muslims will unite against a common enemy and achieve victory, but Christians will betray the Muslims by raising the cross again, leading to the great war of Armageddon, the bloodiest war in human history, where only one out of a thousand sons will survive. The severity of this war will be such that according to Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), birds will fall from the sky due to nuclear war, and Muslims and Christians will reclaim Constantinople from the Turks. However, this victory will be mourned as the worst event in history, and no one will desire to take spoils of war, as only one person from each family will survive.
7) When Muslims conquer Istanbul, Satan will spread false news that Dajjal has emerged. To ascertain the truth, Imam Mahdi will send seven horse riders, but when they arrive, Dajjal will already have appeared. The real reason for Dajjal's emergence will be the victories of the Muslims, which will infuriate Dajjal to the extent that he will break his chains in anger.
