Pakistan is entering into 6th spell of rain where half of the country is submerge already, killing hundreds of people.

Pakistan is among top countries which is directly effected by climate change . Almost 30 glaciers melted this year which were not supposed to burst untill next few years, there are 3,000 small rivers which totally depands on these glaciers and give constant supply for whole year. This will also cause drought in Punjab as we won't have those glaciers to supply us water in summers.

Temperature in far noth Pakistan reached 45 degree Celsius for couple of weeks this year which caused melting of glaciers..

✅ We need dams to store water and we need dams in Balochistan too as water from Afghanistan is now a constant threat
✅ Reduce carbon emissions specially tourism carbon print should be reduced.
✅ Introduction of electric vehicle policy to replace fossil fuels .
✅ Appeal to international community to fund and support Pakistan in building dams and taking all other required measures
✅ International community need to take more actions regarding climate change .

Pakistan is not the largest contributor to climate change but we will be one of largest victims if proper steps has not been taken ...

Petrol price in Pakistan today
The new prices will come into effect from Tuesday, August 16

ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan on Monday increased the price of petrol by Rs6.72 for the next fortnight.

In the wake of fluctuation in petroleum prices in the international market and exchange rate variation, the government has decided to revise the existing prices of petroleum products to pass on the impact to the consumers.

The new prices, effective from August 16, 2022, are as follows:

No subsidy on petroleum products: Miftah Ismail
Speaking during Geo News' show Naya Pakistan on August 14, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said that the government can't afford to subsidise petroleum products.

“The finance ministry will not impose any more taxes and levies on petroleum products, but the government could not bear any more losses by providing subsidies,” the minister said.

On the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan, Punjab Chief Minister Ch Parvez Elahi an­nounced to make education free up to graduation level in the Punjab province.

“I made education free upto Matric in my previous ten­ure and will now make it free upto graduation level”, he said while addressing the central ceremony of the 75th Indepen­dence Day of Pakistan at the Hazuri Bagh here on Sunday.

The chief minister said that he had decided to provide

free of cost medicines in emergencies of the hos­pitals. He said that he had made many institutions for special children in his previous tenure, adding, that number of institutions will be increased in future. Ch Parvez Elahi vowed to make Punjab an exemplary province.

The chief minister also lauded the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa saying he had made the defence of Pakistan in­vincible. “No one can look towards Pakistan with an evil eye. The services of the army chief are highly praiseworthy for eradicat­ing terrorism and to main­tain peace in the country”, he observed.
