The world's first television that does not require electricity to operate has been introduced. Yes, this is the world's first TV that has no wires i.e. it is wireless and does not require electricity to operate.

The TV was introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. An American start-up, Display, has developed this TV, which has no wires, but is powered by a battery.

This TV has 4 batteries and according to the company, on a single charge the TV can run for up to a month (if used for 6 hours per day) after which it needs to be recharged.

Following the appointment of Maryam Nawaz as Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) senior vice president and chief organiser, she is facing ‘opposition’ from within the party ranks, ARY News reported, quoting well-informed sources.

The senior leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz are not happy over the appointment of Maryam Nawaz as PML-N’s senior vice president and chief organizer.

It may be noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is also president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) appointed the daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, as senior vice-president of the party, earlier this week.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s biggest agricultural machinery manufacturer, Millat Tractors Limited, has announced to shut down its operations from January 6 till further notice, citing low demand and cash flow constraints, ARY News reported on Thursday.

According to details, the agricultural machinery manufacturer – Millat Tractors –announced the development in a letter sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

“Due to continuing reduced demand for tractors and cash flow constraints, the company will remain closed from Friday January 6, 2023 till further notice,” the statement added.

Maryam Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar is likely to reach Pakistan on Friday to settle there permanently and assist his mother in politics.

Maryam Nawaz, who was recently appointed senior vice president and chief organiser of the PML-N, was expected to take a center stage in the party ahead of the upcoming general election.

Sources claim that Junaid Safdar and his wife Ayesha Saif are likely to return to Pakistan on Friday while Maryam Nawaz is planning to return in the next few weeks.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Wednesday Maryam Nawaz would return to the country in “third week of January”. On her return, Maryam Nawaz would assume her new responsibilities as “chief organiser” of the party, the minister said in a tweet.

PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are in Geneva on a weeklong visit. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also reach Geneva on Sunday. Sources said a meeting between Nawaz Sharif and PM Shehbaz Sharif was also expected during the prime minister’s visit.

The eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League will reportedly commence on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟑 🗓️

Multan will be the venue for the opening ceremony and the first match of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on February 13.

Defending champions Lahore Qalandars will take on home team Multan Sultans for a repeat of last year's final, as reported by Cricket Pakistan.

Last month, all six franchises finalised their squads for the upcoming tournament in the PSL draft held in Karachi.

The PSL 8 is scheduled to be held from February 13 to March 19, 2023, across four venues which include Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi.

Tentative schedule for PSL 8:
