3 Tarlaqueños dead, including a 9 y/o, in a violent SCTEX 3-way car crash.

Three Tarlaqueño women died on Wednesday afternoon following a violent car crash involving three vehicles along SCTEX Concepcion - Mabalacat boundary.

SCTEX Patrol stated that a pick-up truck going Northbound went out of control because of its speed and the heavy rainfall. The pick-up truck hit the barrier, causing it to flip towards the opposite lane going Southbound.

Incidentally, there was a bus trailing a small hatchback at the opposite lane. The airborne truck landed in front of the hatchback, causing a head-on collision.

Unfortunately, the hatchback was sandwiched between the pickup truck and the trailing bus.

MDRRMO Concepcion Tarlac stated that the three deceased were immediately transported to the nearest hospital, Mabalacat District Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. The sole survivor who suffered severe injuries was transported to Tarlac Provincial Hospital where she is receiving intensive care.

The victims, all passengers of the hatchback, were IDed as residents of Mapalacsiao Tarlac (9), Don Pepe Home Site (49), and Balingcanaway, Tarlac (46).

The survivor, Mapalacsiao Tarlac (47), was the mother of the 9-year-old and the driver of the hatchback.

The driver of the pick-up, Paniqui, Tarlac (29), and the passengers inside the bus incurred no to minor injuries.
