Pastor captivated the audience and judges with her exceptional charm and poise, rising above 14 other contestants, while Estilloso secured his win over 6 competitors with his charisma and winning response.

Runners-up included STEM representatives Asherah M. Tansiongco and Rojan Isaac G. Hilario, who secured the first runner-up titles. Meanwhile, fellow HUMSS contestants Princres Guil D. Lorenzo and Hazel Lei B. Barris completed the podium as second runners-up, proving HUMSS’s dominance in the competition.

The event was graced by notable figures, including Mayor Atty. Lissette M. Arboleda and members of the Sangguniang Bayan. Principal IV Erwin M. Marquez, undeterred by his recent travel, ensured his presence to witness the grand occasion. Also in attendance were Acting Chief of Police PMAJ John Anthony Angio, PTA officers led Jemuel Soriano, and other key stakeholders, showcasing their unwavering support for the school’s activity.

Contributing to the night’s excitement were performances by selected Senior High School students, who showcased their talents in a group voice ensemble and ballroom dance presentation. These performances underscored the diverse artistic abilities of Looc National High School’s students, making the event even more memorable.

The success of the Mr. and Ms. Senior High School 2024 pageant is a testament to the dedication and talent of both the students and the community, setting a high standard for future events.

𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦| 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗢, 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗧, 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡

LNHS teachers once more attended the In-Service Training at Looc National High School, November 25.

Principal IV Erwin M. Marquez took the lead in updating teachers with the school's current programs, projects, and accomplishments. He also put into discussion concerns regarding ways to improve students' performances, administrative cases involving teaching and non-teaching employees, and teachers' promotion.

Participants also received comprehensive inputs from head teachers, who served as resource speakers, where the main highlight was the application of HOTS-SOLO Framework in crafting PISA-aligned assessments with the aid of artificial intelligence (AI).

Said training will continue tomorrow until Wednesday. With this, Looc National High School will continue to thrive and uphold to DEPED's commitment in enhancing the quality and competence of teachers congruent with the professional standards.

Cyril Dela Cruz, PDAO Executive Assistant IV, led the opening program, which was attended by Daisy Falcutila, PWD Federation President, Sharon Deborja, Federation President of Parents and Guardians of Children with Disabilities, PWD PTA presidents, PDAO teacher aides and LNHS SNED students.

Dela Cruz highlighted several initiatives, including Project TEACH (Therapy, Education, Assimilation of Children with Handicap), E-Tawag, Para-Teacher, and MDS (Manpower Development Staff).

The activity also featured a keynote address by the invited speaker, Mr. Gil Francisco, who emphasized breaking stigma and promoting inclusivity among participants. Speaking on the theme “Breaking Barriers: Promoting Mental Health and Well-Being for Persons with Disabilities,” Mr. Francisco stated, “Be sensitive to people with special needs. Break the stigma. We, who are fortunate to live normal lives, should prioritize inclusivity.”

The activity concluded with an open forum, providing participants with the opportunity to ask questions and share insights. This was followed by a photo opportunity, capturing the memorable event, and the awarding of certificates to PWD presidents from various municipalities in recognition of their active participation and dedication.

With this year's theme, "𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻, 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀," said activity featured discussions on the rights of every child, where PCpl Donna Joy Baldio-Morales and Pat Mark Alvin S Soguilon, Asst. Operation PNCO, served as speakers.

PCpl Morales, in her lecture stated that "Our goal is to empower children with knowledge and confidence to speak out against abuse and violence. We want to create a safe and supportive environment for you to grow and thrive." They further discussed the types of abuse and ways to prevent violence against minors.

The activity received full support from Principal IV Erwin M. Marquez and was facilitated by Mrs. Marideth M. Fadera, the designated guidance counselor for SHS, along with the grade-level coordinators and teachers. LNHS students actively participated in the discussions, raising questions and sharing their concerns about child safety.

Mr. Erwin M. Marquez, School Principal IV, extended a warm welcome to the advisers during the opening program. In his message, he expressed his unwavering support for campus journalism and encouraged the participants to remain steadfast in their commitment to fostering journalistic excellence.

The training highlighted a comprehensive lecture from Ms. Dezelle May F. Andrade, school publication adviser of Mayha NHS, where she discussed the guidelines on school paper layouting and designing.

Following her lecture, participants engaged in a hands-on activity of creating a newspaper draft under her guidance. As the day came to an end, participants presented their outputs, which received constructive feedback from the body.

This initiative reflects teachers' dedication to education and fostering excellence in school publications.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦| 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗬 𝗪𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗧

To spark creativity, showcase writing skills, and promote a passion for reading, LNHS students participate in the Bookmark Making and Essay Writing contests from November 6-8.

With this year's theme, "𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗮: 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴," students showcased their love of art and reading by crafting personalized bookmarks and participating in an exciting essay writing contest. These activities aim to foster a lasting love of reading while helping students discover the endless benefits that reading can offer.

Mrs. Catherine L. Palacio, the English Club adviser, served as the facilitator of the activities, together with the club officers. Outstanding outputs from the Bookmark Making contest will be displayed in the school library, while the winners of the Essay Writing contest will be announced in the last week of November.

The day began with a colorful parade of students led by Looc PNP, eagle scouts/girl scouts, and the school marching band, featuring all the participating units, namely Unit I-Centro, Unit ll- B²JMP, Unit llI-G! Pilimon, and Unit lV- AGUIMAT.

It was followed by an opening program where athletes, tournament managers, coaches, faculty and staff, and students and other stakeholders were welcomed to the momentous activity. On behalf of Looc LGU, Hon. Vice Mayor Ismael Osorio, along with Sangguniang Bayan and Sangguniang Kabataan officials, expressed full support during the program. Mr. Ace V. Rufon, Looc district supervisor, formally opened the event and left student athletes with a note highlighting the importance of sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Hon. B**g Osorio, Mr. Erwin M. Marquez and Mr. Rufon led the hoisting of unit banners, which was shortly followed by the ceremonial toss. As the day unfolded, the energy of the field and the court remained high at Looc National High School as young athletes showcased their potentials into becoming champions.
