LOOK: More than 48,000 low-income families in the Province of Romblon have received their cash subsidies under the government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP), representing 87 percent of total Romblon beneficiaries, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) MIMAROPA has disclosed.

Of the 17 LGUs, Sta. Maria recorded the highest SAP payout. While, Municipality of San Andres recorded the lowest payout, distributing cash subsidy to only 58% of its recipients.

In the Province of Romblon, low-income households are entitled to receive P5,000 emergency subsidy.

BREAKING: The number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines crossed the 10,000 mark with 320 new infections reported as of 4PM on Wednesday (May 6).

NCR registered additional 179 new cases, Region 7 with an additional 98 new cases and 43 new cases from different Regions. The total number of cases in the country is now at 10,004.

DOH also announces 98 new recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 1,506.

"Sharing with you an image of Mt. Guiting Guiting and Mt. Mayon in one frame from my flight to Manila from Iloilo.

So whenever I am seated by the window during flights, I have this habit of watching the views while looking at Google Maps. The plane traversed near Tablas island, giving a good glimpse of Mt. Guiting Guiting. As I wait to get a better angle to take a photo, I noticed a cone shape shadow structure from afar. At first, I can't identify what it really was as it was covered by clouds but I already have a hunch in mind. I cross-checked with my phone and it became clear that that was actually Mt. Mayon. What made it more interesting was that they were aligned. I'm so fortunate enough to have captured this image."
