Life's symphony

It is the intricate and harmonious interplay of experiences, emotions, relationships, and events that composes the journey of existence. It encompasses the highs and lows, the joys and sorrows, the challenges and triumphs that shape our lives.

Just like a musical symphony, life's symphony has its crescendos and diminuendos, its moments of intensity and tranquility, all coming together to create a rich and vibrant tapestry of human experience. It's the melody of laughter, the harmony of tears, the rhythm of growth, and the cadence of change.

Each person's life contributes a unique note to this grand composition, weaving together to form the beautiful and ever-evolving symphony of life.

Embrace the beautiful symphony of life today! 🌿🎶

"Each must go his way, but how can I decide
Which path I should take, who will be my guide
I need some kind of star to lead me somewhere far
To find a higher dream in the greater scheme of things."

REMEMBER AND DONT FORGET
By Fr Jerry Orbos, SVD

Question: Why should people above 70 use valet parking?

Answer: That’s because valets don’t forget where they park your car.

***
In today’s gospel (Lk 24:35-48), Jesus appeared again to His disciples to remind them that He is alive, and not to forget the mission ahead of them. Also, He wanted to assure them, and to strengthen them, and give them courage. He wanted them to remember, and not to forget.

***
“Why are you troubled?” The Lord asks you and me today this question. What is it that is bothering you today? Is there anything heavy or dark in your life? May the power of the risen Lord dispel the darkness in your soul. Please allow the Lord to help you and set you free. All you need to do is to say earnestly: “Lord, I need you. Please help me.”

***
Why do we often forget, or take for granted the presence of God? That is because many of us live busy, lazy, and messy lives.

***
BUSY. Too busy making a living, or making a name, we often forget to give God the time and the honor due unto Him. This happens when we forget that we are creatures with a Creator, and that we are servants with a Master.

***
LAZY. Let’s face it, we’d rather spend time having fun, and being entertained, rather than going to church. We often prefer the glitters and the flashbulbs over the candleglow. It’s amazing how we spend so much time, and efforts, and money to do what we want, but not so in doing what God wants.

***
MESSY. When our priorities are not in order, when we live lives filled with sin, greed and blunders, we negate the presence of God. The absence of God is the cause and the consequent result of a “messy” life, and a “messy” world for that matter. It is the presence of the Lord that helps us live peaceful and meaningful lives.

***
How can busy people find God? How can we experience God in the marketplace? Let’s make time for the Lord, and acknowledge His presence consciously. Let’s be humble, and accept that God is the source of all our blessings, and that without Him, all our so-called achievements are empty and vain.

***
How do lazy people find God? They must learn to go out of their comfort zones, and go the “extra mile” to give honor and glory to God. God reaches out to us constantly, but we too must respond, and do our part. We must learn to sacrifice in our journey to God’s heart. No pain, no gain.

***
How do “messy” people find God? Honesty and humility is the key to peace and integrity. Trusting in God’s mercy, may we find our way to God’s heart by renouncing our sinful ways, and holding on to God’s love. God can turn our mess into bliss, our wrongdoings into blessings.

***
Think about this: We are representatives of the Lord. Let us make Him present again. Is your presence a reminder to people that the Lord lives on? If all you present to the world is yourself, then you are not living for something or someone greater than yourself.

***
Ask yourself today: What have I done to “radiate” Christ? What have I done to spread the light? What have I done to touch other people’s lives?

***
A Moment with the Lord: Lord, help us to remember Your presence, and remind others that You are with us, still. Amen.

Third Sunday of Easter | Lk 24:35-48

Then he said to them, "Why are you troubled?
And why do questions arise in your hearts?
Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself.
Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones
as you can see I have."

DID YOU KNOW?
THE ROMAN SOLDIER WHO PIERCED THE SIDE OF JESUS CONVERTED AND BECAME A SAINT?
St. Longinus is the centurion who pierced the side of Our Lord while He was hanging on the Cross. St. Longinus, who was nearly blind, was healed when some of the blood and water from Jesus fell into his eyes. It was then he exclaimed "Indeed, this was the Son of God!" [Mark 15:39]. St. Longinus then converted, Left the army, took instruction from the apostles and became a monk in Cappadocia. There he was arrested for his faith, his teeth forced out and tongue cut off. However, St. Longinus miraculously continued to speak clearly and managed to destroy several idols in the presence of the governor. The governor, who was made blind by the demons that came from the idols, had his sight restored when St. Longinus was being beheaded, because his blood came in contact with the governors' eyes. St. Longinus' relics are now in the church of St Augustine, in Rome. His Lance is contained in one of the four pillars over the altar in the Basilica of St Peter's in Rome.

" How did you heal? "

" I healed when I knew that I deserved more than what happened to me.

I healed when I started loving myself more than anyone else.

I healed when I got close to people who know my worth.

I healed when I put limits to everyone who would hurt me even if they are the closest.

I healed when I believed that I was enough but they were toxic.

I healed when I understood that you could give the world to someone and they would still cause you pain.

I healed when I knew that I was not the problem. "
- I replied with a confident smile.

𝓓𝓲𝓮 𝓔𝓶𝓹𝓽𝔂

In his book, Die Empty, Todd Henry says that the richest lands in the world are not the lands with oil and diamonds, but the cemeteries where millions of people are buried, carrying with them their wealth, ideas, and goodness which they did not share while they were still alive. What a waste! Sayang!

LIVE FULLY AND DIE EMPTY.

A MOMENT WITH THE LORD
Lord, help us to share to the max our time, talents, and treasures. Amen.

A MOMENT WITH THE WORD
"Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God's various gifts of grace." 1 Peter 4:10-11

Holy Week. We commemorate the passion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ died for us, so our empty souls may be filled with His life and love.
