PAHAYAG SA PRO XI SA GIKATAHO SA SMNI NEWS NGA NAGLOCKDOWN SA DAVAO

Camp Quintin Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City- The Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 would like to refute the post from SMNI News Channel claiming that the Philippine National Police (PNP) locked down the entry points of Davao City to stop people from joining the Kingdom of Jesus Christ members in their rally, quoting: "JUST IN | Ni-lockdown ang lahat entry point ng Davao City ng PNP upang pigilan ang pakikiisa ng ibang Pilipino sa protestang nagaganap sa harap ng KOJC compound."

First and foremost, the PNP, especially PRO 11, has never implemented any lockdown along the National Highway or planned to do so. Instead, it was the members of the KOJC who intentionally blocked the National Highway in front of the KOJC compound.

In fairness to them, they were able to secure a rally permit from the City Government of Davao, allowing them to conduct a prayer vigil at the KOJC compound. Thus, the venue where they conducted the rally is not in accordance with the permit they secured.

Despite this, the PNP employed maximum tolerance, just as the PNP has not reacted to all of SMNI's attacks on the different police visibility activities it has conducted over the past weeks or months.

Nonetheless, we are calling for everyone's attention not to easily give in and believe the accusations that are being thrown at the PNP.

We acknowledge that SMNI is aligned with the KOJC; however, we hope that they will practice the essence of true journalism, which is the pursuit of truth through accurate, unbiased, and ethical reporting.

The PNP is performing its job, and we pray that those who obstruct us from doing the same will grant us a chance to finish our tasks more quickly by not hampering the police operations that we are carrying out.

BASAHIN | Noong Agosto 24, 2024, isinakatuparan ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang kanilang legal na tungkulin na magsilbi ng mga warrant of arrest laban kay Apollo Quiboloy at sa kanyang mga kasama na nasasakdal sa loob ng Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound. Ayon sa iba't ibang ulat ng intelihensiya, nasa loob pa rin ng compound si Apollo Quiboloy. Umano’y ang compound ay sumasaklaw ng higit-kumulang sa 30 ektarya ng lupa na puno ng maraming gusali, mga tagong kwarto, at mga lagusan na nangangailangan ng masusi at patuloy na paghahanap.

Diumano, isang miyembro ng KOJC, habang nasa itaas ng isang tore sa loob ng KOJC compound, at walang pisikal na pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga tauhan ng PNP, ay bigla na lamang nawalan ng malay. Agad na rumesponde ang mga medical team ng PNP at dinala ang nasabing indibidwal sa ospital. Sa kasamaang palad, pumanaw ang indibidwal dahil sa hinihinalang atake sa puso. Kaugnay nito, ipinaaabot namin ang aming taos-pusong pakikiramay sa pamilya, mga kaibigan, at mga kapwa-miyembro ng KOJC.

Muli kong inuulit ang aking panawagan kay Apollo Quiboloy at sa kanyang mga kasamahan na nasampahan ng kaso na kusang loob na sumuko upang harapin ng naaayon sa batas ang mga paratang ng pang-aabuso sa bata, pang-aabusong sekswal, at human trafficking. Ang pagsuko ni Quiboloy ang tanging paraan upang maipakita niya ang kanyang paggalang sa batas.

Ipagpapatuloy ng PNP ang kanilang tungkuling isilbi ang mga warrant of arrest, habang pinapanatili ang pinakamataas na antas ng pagpapasensya at paggalang sa karapatang pantao.

Ang aming pangako na mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa ating mga komunidad ay mananatiling matatag. Hinihikayat ko ang publiko na manatiling kalmado at hayaan ang legal na proseso ang umiral.

PNP chief Rommel Marbil believes that Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy could be hiding in an underground facility inside the church's compound in Davao City.

The PNP still needs to locate the entrance to the said underground.

“Ang sinasabi po natin na we are so sure na nandoon po ang taong hinahanap natin. Not only fugitive Apollo Quiboloy, but for others, nandoon po sa loob,” he said in a press conference in Davao City on Sunday, August 25.

JUST IN: An underground facility was discovered earlier during a search in the KOJC compound, PRO XI director Brig Gen Nicolas Torre III confirmed. He said they are just locating the entrance of the said underground. He is also optimistic that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy will be arrested soon.

Dako ang kumpyansa ni PRO 11 Regional Director PBGEN Nicolas Torre nga anaa lang sa sulod sa KOJC Compound si Pastor Apollo Quiboloy ug laing upat pa ka mga akusado.

Nigamit matod pa ang PNP og life detector sa pagpangita sa mga akusado ug gibutyag niini nga ginataguan lang kini sa compound.

Matod pa ni Torre, wala pay 30% kun 1/4 pa lang ang na-scan sa kapulisan sa entero propyedad.

Gihimakak niini ang paggamit og tear gas sa mga pulis ngadto sa mga miyembo sa KOJC.
