𝗡𝗲𝘄𝗹𝘆-𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗦𝗟𝗚 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲

Newly-elected officers for the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) 2024-2025 took their oath to office during the recently-concluded Proclamation and Oath Taking Ceremony on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Computer Laboratory of Masbate National Comprehensive High School.

The proclamation of winners was led by MNCHS Principal lV, Marife Cañares, and Sir Glenn Rivera, Commissioner on Electoral Board.

According to Sir Rivera, a total of 1,523 valid voters from different grade levels (7-11) participated in the election via Google Forms.

Zandrea Lique, former 2023-2024 SSLG President from Bugsay Partylist, won once again and will remain in her position while Chum Jofelle Barruga, under the same party-list, secured the spot for Vice President.

In an interview, Lique expressed her gratitude towards the student body. “Una sa tanan, salamat sa tanan na Comprehenians na naghatag san inda utro na tiwala kag suporta saakon, salamat kay iyo dyapon gin tuodan an akon kakayahan na pamunuan an aton eskwelahan. Asahan po san tanan an mas maayos, mas organized, kag mas makabulig na administrasyon sa masunod na tuig,” she stated.

(First of all, thank you to all Comprehenians who have given their unwavering trust and support in my ability to lead our school. Rest assured that everyone can expect a more efficient, organized, and helpful administration in the coming year).

In addition, James Delavin, Riley Tumblod, and Fayth Bacolod earned the positions of Secretary, Treasurer, and Auditor, respectively.

Meanwhile, Felicity Dela Sala was proclaimed as Public Information Officer and Chelzie Fernandez as Protocol Officer.

Furthermore, Stephanie Armborst and John Daniel Tenorio were appointed as G12 Representatives, Khazandra Labodit and Benz Lim in the 11th Grade, Stephanie Magallanes and Kylee Racaza won in the 10th Grade, and lastly, Jeth Castillo and Karylle Almiñe were announced as the Grade 9 Representatives.

Bugsay Partylist members managed to dominate the election and take hold of their respective fields.

ANNOUNCEMENT

MNCHS announces the public the schedule for Face-to-face classes for all grade levels on May 13, 2024 (Monday).

Schedule:
Morning Session: 7:00-9:00 AM
Afternoon Session: 3:00-5:00 PM
Evening Session (NC): 5:00-9:00 PM

The adjustment aims to mitigate the effects of the high heat index experienced during in-person classes and ensure continued physical learning.

Please be guided accordingly.

In relation to MNCHS 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (SSLG) 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for SY: 2024-2025, please be guided by the following schedules as per LG COMEA Resolution No. 04, s. 2024:

1. May 10, 2024 (Friday) - Filing of Election Application Form (EAF) and Screening of Candidates from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (EAF and other forms are available at Room 2, Bldg. 71, MNCHS Annex Campus c/o Mrs. Josephine A. Bartolay.
2. May 11-16, 2024 - Campaign Period (Face to Face or via Facebook).
3. May 17, 2024 (Friday) - ELECTION DAY (Digital/Online via Google Forms).
4. May 20, 2024 (Monday) - Oath-Taking of Newly Elected SSLG Officers.
5. May 22, 2024 (Wednesday) - Division Federated SSLG Election.

All campaign materials must be approved by the Screening & Validation Committee prior to posting, dissemination & publication.

MAY 9, 2024 (Thursday) - As per Southern Luzon PAG-ASA Regional Services Division, the heat index forecast for Masbate City is 42° C on May 10, 2024.

With this, classes in MNCHS (excluding Night Class and Alternative Learning System) remain to be on Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) on May 10, 2024. To ensure learning continuity, learners shall get/return their modules in the school with the following schedule:

Module Distribution/Retrieval: MAY 10, 2024 (FRIDAY)

7:30-9:30 AM- G7, G8, G11, G12
3:00-5:00 PM-G9, G10

Note: Modules/outputs/activity sheets shall be retrieved next Friday (May 17, 2024 ).

MAY 7, 2024 (Tuesday) - With the persistent high heat index in Masbate City, classes in MNCHS (excluding Night Class and Alternative Learning System) shall continue under Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) on May 8-9, 2024 (Wed-Thurs), following the guidelines set in DepEd Order No. 37, s. 2022 and Division Memorandum No. 45, s. 2024.

Learners shall take the time to complete pending assignments, projects, and other class requirements at home. Teachers, on the other hand, shall use the online DTR.
