Sandugo - Movement of Moro and Indigenous Peoples for Self-Determination (SANDUGO), along with progressive youth groups, called for an end to the genocide in Palestine during a protest action at UP Manila earlier today, March 5.
Just on February 29, Israeli forces bombed 104 unarmed Palestinians while they were receiving aid in Northern Gaza. SANDUGO, in a statement, condemned the killings and urged the United Nations and governments to halt the ongoing genocide.
Along with the call, they highlighted U.S. imperialism as the root cause of the ongoing Palestinian struggle, drawing parallels to the Bud Dajo massacre in March 1906, where U.S. troops killed a thousand Moros in Jolo.
โKailangang maiambag natin ang mga boses ng mga Pilipinong nais ng kapayapaan at nakikiisa sa mga Palestino para itigil ang ilegal na okupasyon ng Israel, para itigil ang pagpatay sa mga inosente,โ said Liza Maza, Secretary General of the International League of Peoplesโ Struggles.

Gabi na, Barya pa rin ba?
The TRAIN law was passed during the Duterte administration, effectively taxing crude oil, petroleum, and gasoline products heavily. Prices of these goods are now exponentially more expensive, taking a toll on tricycle drivers that are barely making ends meet.
In Cotabato City, tricycle drivers are considered as the essential backbone for the daily commute and mobility of Bangsamoro people. They play a crucial role in the success of many individuals, safely transporting them to their desired locations from dawn until sunset. Despite facing economic challenges and the absence of work-related government benefits, tricycle drivers continuously strive to survive in this increasingly difficult environment. This short documentary examines the lived experiences of the mobility sector amidst an economic crisis.
