𝐂𝐅𝐄𝐒 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐒𝐔'𝐬 63𝐫𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞

The College of Forestry and Environmental Studies (CFES) filled the streets of MSU-Main Campus with pride and honor as they joined the grand parade celebrating Mindanao State University's 63rd Founding Anniversary on September 1, 2024.

Donning their distinctive identity shirts, the CFES students, faculty and staffs marched proudly from San Isidro Hall to the MSU-Oval, showcasing their spirit and commitment to the institution. The parade, a highlight of the anniversary celebrations, featured a diverse array of participants from different colleges of the university.

Beyond the parade, CFES also participated in the "Sigaw Kalye" competition, showcasing their creativity and talent through their composed chants and prepared performances. Their participation highlighted the college's dedication to fostering a sense of community and celebrating the rich essence of MSU.

The 63rd Founding Anniversary of MSU is a testament to the university's enduring legacy and its commitment to academic excellence and community engagement. CFES, as a part of the MSU community, continues to strive in shaping the university's future.

𝐂𝐅𝐄𝐒 𝐂𝐔𝐏 2024 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞

On August 26, 2024, the day three of CFES Cup was held at the International Convention Center, concluded with excitement and celebration. The tournament featured four teams: the Congo, Valdivian, Amazon, and Daintree, who competed fiercely for the championship title, showcasing their athleticism and teamwork.

The final day of the CFES CUP witnessed the Congo team emerge as the victor, but the competition was fierce throughout, with each team displaying impressive skills and determination. The Valdivian team secured the first runner-up position, followed by the Amazon team in second place. The Daintree team, despite their valiant efforts, finished in last place.

The CFES Cup, a resounding success, served as a platform for fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a sense of community within the college. The event concluded with a celebratory gathering, filled with cheers, laughter, and the shared joy of a successful event.

The highly anticipated CFES CUP 2024 concluded on August 26, 2024 at the International Convention Center (ICC), MSU-Main Campus with Congo emerging as the overall champion, leaving a trail of excitement and applause in its wake.

Congo's victory was a testament to its exceptional courage. The team showcased unique characters throughout the competition, capturing the hearts of the judges and audience alike.

Valdivian, a strong contender throughout the competition, secured the first runner-up position, demonstrating their strong skills. Amazon, known for its strength, claimed the second runner-up spot, while Daintree, the third-place finisher, impressed with its bravery.

The event was a celebration of camaraderie and tranquility and a testament to the dedication and talent of all the study body.

The recent chess tournament concluded with a resounding victory for Valdivian, hailed as the champion. While Valdivian's dominance was undeniable, the overall team standings saw Congo emerge as the victor, securing first place while Amazon acclaimed as second place.

Second day of the CFES Cup 2024 begun at MSU - Grandstand on August 25, 2024 for the highly anticipated ball games.

The day's schedule features a series of thrilling matches, showcasing the best talent in the league, attracting top athletes from the four teams namely: Daintree, Amazon, Congo and Valdivian. With the second day underway, the excitement is building for the rest of the tournament.

First day of the CFES CUP 2024 began on the morning of August 24, 2024 with a lively parade organized by the College of Forestry and Environmental Studies.

The event brought together students, faculty, and staff, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie. ILS Band, CFES officers, and four respective teams—Team Amazon, Team Congo, Team Daintree, and Team Valdivian—marched through the campus in colorful attire, setting the stage for the exciting competitions and activities that will follow throughout the event.

The parade marked the beginning of a series of sports, literary, and musical events that aim to foster unity and showcase the talents of the CFES students.

College of Forestry and Environmental Studies (CFES) held its college-based orientation on August 22, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. in the Forestry Annex Room (FAR) to provide essential information and guidance to all students enrolled in the college, especially freshmen and transferees.

Associate Professor Abdulnasser D. Lomantong opened the event with an inspirational message to the studentry. The orientation covered a range of topics crucial for student success, including academic policies, course requirements, and available resources within the college. Faculty members delivered detailed overviews of the programs and opportunities available for students, while also introducing all personnel of the college.

The event concluded by Professor Lourdes B. Tayrus after allocating a short time for college-based organizations to introduce themselves to the new students of CFES, ensuring that they are well-informed about the organizations they may wish to join.

Today, Monday, July 22, was a significant day at the College of Forestry and Environmental Studies, where students gathered to enroll for the upcoming academic year.
