On November 25, 2023, the Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City West and ROTARACT CLUB of MAKATI implemented the “Bida El Comunidad: A 2-in-1 Partnership Project” at Barangay Tulungatung, Zamboanga City. Barangay Granada Takes Center Stage, Dominates 44th Masskara Festival Street Dance & Arena Competition

Bacolod City, Philippines - In a spectacular display of creativity and talent, Barangay Granada stole the show at the 44th Masskara Festival Street Dance & Arena Competition on October 22, 2023. They emerged as the champion, winning Php 1 million.

Granada also earned several awards, including Best in Mask, Headdress, Costume, Theme/Concept, and Music, each with a prize of Php 25,000, and an additional 75k worth of FoodPanda vouchers.

Other notable winners included Brgy. Sum-ag for their Best Intro Video.

Barangay Tangub secured the 1st runner-up position with a prize of Php 500,000.

Barangay Sum-ag claimed 2nd runner-up and received Php 500,000 along with 20k worth of Pocari products.

Pocari Sweat also recognized other barangays with corporate prizes.

Mayor Albee Benitez expressed pride and assured non-winning barangays of a Php 100,000 consolation prize.

Distinguished guests at the event included Governor Eugenio "Bong” Lacson, Senator Ronald "Bato” De La Rosa, Congressman Greg Gasataya, Valladolid Mayor Bebot Miravalles, and Department of Tourism Region VI Regional Director Ms. Crisanta Marlene Rodriguez. Councilors and other dignitaries were also present.

The 44th Masskara Festival celebrated Bacolod's spirit and community unity in the face of challenges.
