Last 2019, she was crowned as DWCL-HS Miss Intramurals 3rd Runner Up which served as one of her stepping stones in building her foundation in the field of pageantry.

Undeniably, she is a definition of beauty and brain, as she graduated with high honors and is currently studying as a 3rd year Tourism Management at Mariano Marcos State University.

With her commendable performance, Ninotcha truly embodied the unique beauty of their own municipality.

Ms. Nicky Ashleigh B. Bismonte, a former STEM student of DWCL and currently, a first-year Nursing student at Northern Christian College, enchants the province as she was adjudged as this year's Miss Ilocos Norte 4th Runner Up.

She was crowned as Miss Vintar last December 2023 which paved the way for her to represent her municipality in the biggest pageantry of the province, Miss Ilocos Norte. This led her to another journey that battles the wit, glamor, and beauty of the contestants.

During her stay at DWCL, she was known not only for her wit but was also famed for her excellence in the line of journalism, being a broadcaster of The Junior Williamiteโ€”DWCL High School's school publication.

The former pride of SBE is now the pride of her locality.

Congratulations, Nicky!

Of the four divinians qualifying for the athletics meet, two athletes emerged to secure two medals, one gold and one silver. Mark Bren L. Tagama of Grade 11-Prudence, coached by Dr. Eva Rose Alegar, led the pack with a Gold in taekwondo while Justine Jeve Baptista of Grade 12-Integrity, together with his coach Ms. Aubrey Blas, secured the silver.

Research in our new and evolving age serves as a beacon for change and progress. With the uprising of new inventions and discoveries, seeking for more is the key towards a new tomorrow. These new knowledge and discoveries are pointless and hold no value if they cannot contribute to the body of knowledge and community.

On the 27th of April, 2024, five selected students together with the Principal, Mrs. Kristina O. Martin, the high school coordinators, Mrs. Emelyn B. Claro and Ms. Mary Joy C. Dumbrique and the research advisers Ms. Sandra Lee A. Corpuz and Ms. Krizia Eunice Retondo attended the Research Congress 2024 with the theme "EmpowerED: Bridging Gaps Beyond Results" at Divine Word College of Vigan, Janssen Hall. The research congress seeks to create positive change with student-led research through exploration of critical issues, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to shaping sustainable futures.

The research presentations were divided into two clusters, wherein Cluster 1 was titled "Urban Dynamics, Student Well-being, and Technological Shifts" and Cluster 2 was "Social Perceptions and Online Realities". The observers from DWCL were escorted to attend and partake in the research presentations of Cluster 2.

The attendance of the said observers from DWCL serves as the bridge between the ever-growing connection between the two institutions. As both institutions traverse their paths through providing quality education and continuing to be true witnesses to the word, the need for research serves as a bridge not just to the two worlds of the Divine Word, but of the students as well. As the tides of change push and pull, the body of knowledge will serve as a foundation in finding the path to enlightenment and safe grounds once again.

INTRAMURALS: DAY 3 (PART 3)

A NERVE-WRACKING ENDING

After days of intense and electrifying sports action, the Intramurals 2023 finally came to an end. The Intramurals, led by the Supreme Secondary Learner Government, lasted for three days, from November 28 until the 30th.

First time after the pandemic, the Intramurals was well-embraced by the students. Embodying the theme "Inspire, Unite, Triumph: Celebrating victories of camaraderie, fueled by the spirit of sportsmanship", the students all fought fair until the end for a single objectiveโ€” to take home the overall champion trophy.

On the last day of the event, the DWCL local bands battled it out to earn the judges' head bangs in an hour-long battle. In the end, the Red team, the House of Saint James The Greater, successfully swayed the audience with their crystal-clear voices and tunes.
With the attendance of one of Ilocos' well-known bands, Magrus, the intense atmosphere at the Gymnasium just got hotter. The band performed two songs, the iconic Rivermaya's 214 and Himala.

Soon after was the nerve-wracking awarding of the winners from the competed sports disciplines and the overall champion. With two more golds than the Green team, the House of Saint Michael The Archangel bagged the award.

With two houses left uncalled, the families were visibly tensed and excited at the same time. Only seven golds separated the two houses and it was the House of Saint James The Greater that had 23 golds compared to the House of Saint Alphonse's 16. The program then ended with the singing of the school's hymn led by the High School Prefect of Discipline, Prof. Emelyn Claro.
