For a third time, the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines has denied the long standing Philippine Tekken champion Alexandre "AK" Laverez of PlayBook Esports Team an entry visa into the United States.

AK has bid farewell to his hopes of competing in this year's EVO 2023 in Las Vegas. The massive fighting game event, celebrated by players from all over the world, is a part of the TEKKEN World Tour 2023 and will be awarding the most points compared to any event in the tour. A win (or at least a high placement) in this event would give AK a strong boost in the tour leaderboards, but with his entry to the United States foiled by the denial of his visa, AK's chances of making it into the world final continues to slim.

All is not lost however as his teammate Andreij “Doujin” Albar, is already clear to fly for EVO 2023 this August. An eternal rival, Doujin recently took the championship over AK in the RESBAK Dojo tournament, as well as joined AK and Jules in the recently concluded $1M Gamers8 tournament.

EVO 2023 will be happening this August 4-6.

PUBLIC ADVISORY

From July 19, 2023 onwards, the following vehicles are ALLOWED/NOT ALLOWED to pass through the Davao City Coastal Road:

ALLOWED TO PASS:

- Vehicles weighing 4.5 tons/ 4,500 kilograms below are allowed to pass including six-wheeler vehicles (such as but not limited to mini van, mini cargo trucks, mini dump trucks, meat delivery trucks)
- Government-owned or private trucks of DPWH contractors currently working for the Davao City Coastal Road
- Government-owned garbage trucks or government-contracted garbage trucks with collection points in Dumalag area
- Fire trucks, government-owned or private towing trucks or private utility trucks responding to emergencies
- Armored trucks of banks and financial institutions

NOT ALLOWED TO PASS:

- Vehicles or trucks weighing more than 4.5 tons or 4,500 kilograms
- Public Utility Vehicles (Bus, PUJs, L-300 vans)
- Tricycles and trisikads
- All vehicles covered by the truck ban including those that are exempted
