MASI DE CEBU

Ingredients
▪︎2 cups glutinous rice flour
▪︎1 cup water
▪︎1/4 cup muscovado sugar or brown sugar
▪︎1/4 cup peanut crushed
▪︎Water for boiling

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a bowl, combine crushed peanut and muscovado sugar, set aside.
2. In a bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour and water. Gradually add water. Mix the dough until it forms.
3. Scoop 1-2 tablespoon of the dough and roll into a ball. Flatten the ball and put add 1 teaspoon of the peanut mixture into the dough.
4. Gently fold and seal the edges of the dough. Repeat the each step with the remaining ingredients.
5. In a pot over medium heat, bring about 4 to 5 inches deep of water to a boil. Add balls and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes or until they float to the top. Do not overcrowd the pot, cook in batches as needed.
6. Remove rice balls from the pot using a slotted spoon, drain excess liquid.
7. Roll balls with the remaining peanut mixture, pressing down peanuts to fully coat. Serve immediately.

Ginisang Sayote with Ground Pork

Ingredients:
2 - 3 pieces small chayote (peeled, seed removed and sliced)
200 grams ground pork
3 cloves garlic (chopped)
1 piece red onion (chopped)
1 piece tomato (chopped)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup water
seasoning granules, optional (any brand)
1/2 tsp malunggay powder (optional)

1. In a pan, heat cooking oil over medium heat. Saute the garlic, onions and tomatoes for 2 mins.
2. Add the ground pork and salt. Cook for 2 minutes until tender.
3. Add water and cover and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.
4. Add the sliced sayote and mix. Cover and cook for 3 minutes, or until the sayote is tender.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then stir. You may add seasoning granules to taste (optional).
6. Adjust according to your taste. Cook until done. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot.
