Ship Tour is one of the many work-related ship activities that our SHS program offers to train and immerse Grade 11 and Grade 12 students to be competent and world-class seafarers.

Earlier today, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo) Inc. (JBLFMU-A), with Colegio de San Jose (CSJ), competed among 10 other universities in Iloilo in the 1st Saot Ilonggo Iloilo Traditional Folkdance Festival at West Visayas State University Cultural Center.
Among the participants is Mdpn. John Joseph L. Tubid, Maritime Lensesโ Director of Photography.
Though the team failed short, the competition was a platform to prove that Lacsonian talents go beyond the maritime field.
Highlighting Iloiloโs rich cultural heritage, the competition was spearheaded by Iloilo City Government through Mayor Jerry Treรฑas.

On this day, we commemorate the life of a man who is a testament that the pen is truly mightier than the sword and that ideas can bring about change. It is the courage to stand up for what is right even when the odds seem impossible, and we should recall it as one voice that can ignite a fire for change over the years. This is perhaps the time to pay tribute to his contributions and more importantly, to persist on what's worth fighting for in this world.

In addition to the Pang Abi-abi 2024, the Student Affairs and Services (SAS) Department organized another orientation session for incoming freshmen at the JBL Hall, August 9.
This follow-up event aimed to provide the new students with more comprehensive information about the various services, research opportunities, scholarships, and regulations offered by different departments within the university.
Mrs. Rohena Z. Miranda, SAS Department Head, believes that providing our freshmen with a thorough understanding of the resources and expectations at the university will set them up for success in their academic and personal growth during their time in the institution.

Tenefrancia, welcoming the incoming class of Lacsonians.
The event, which took place on the university's gym, showcased the institution's commitment to developing a strong sense of community and promoting a positive learning environment.
As the university continues to excel in various fields, it is clear that JBLFMU-A is poised for continued success in the years to comeโindeed, we are maritime and more!

JBLFMU (Arevalo) senior high school and college instructors gathered in the JBL Hall to celebrate the "Sinadya sa Paghinurugpong: Breaking Barriers Towards Unity and Camaraderie," a team-building activity aimed at fostering unity and collaboration, August 3.
From trust-building and problem-solving challenges, the training was designed to encourage open communication and teamwork among departments.
Mr. Robert Parcia, school administrator, emphasized the importance of such events in creating a cohesive educational community.
The event concluded with a symbolic activity where teachers exchanged tokens and gifts on each departments.

The Lacsonian path opens. As the new academic year began, the JBLMFU-A Senior High School department held a student orientation to bring students into familiarity with their environment, peers, teachers, rules and regulations to be followed, and the opportunities that they may take.
The orientation also provided the senior high school freshmen with a deeper understanding of their chosen field and instilled in them the true value and essence of being a true-blooded Lacsonian, for they will not only be walking into normal halls, but they will be following a path that has brought the world thousands of qualified and competent seafarers.
