Get to know Anastasia Romero, the author of “Home”
Anastasia started writing and illustrating children’s books in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. One day, unable to buy new books because of the strict lockdown, she created a whole story about snails to read to her daughter, and that’s how her first book came to be.
“‘Home’ tells a story about the journey we all call life and the incredible surprises we discover along the way,” she shared.
Anastasia has lived in three different countries: Russia, Spain, and the Philippines. She currently resides with her family in Cebu City, Philippines.
“Home” will be available to the public on April 15, 2023.

DCO is a trade and academic publishing house in Cebu City, Philippines. It was established in late 2017. However, the conceptualization of the house began three years prior.
The first-of-its-kind company in Cebu aims to produce locally made print and electronic books and professional journals that can meet with the standards of the global and international markets.
Donald Villamero is the founder of the publishing firm. Before developing the business, he worked as an editor for two of the world’s leading publishing companies—John Wiley & Sons and Pearson.
DCO hopes to be the trailblazer for a trustworthy and reliable publishing industry in the Visayas region, addressing two important issues: (1) the lack of high-quality books, and (2) the nonexistent platform in the region for local authors to get their works published.
At DCO, we only have one question in mind: Are our products making our readers think better?
