MUNDANE TAKES LISTENERS ON A JOURNEY WITH "WHERE FLOWERS USED TO BLOOM"

Mundane PH , a pop-punk/alternative band, has recently unveiled their latest single titled "Where Flowers Used to Bloom." This poignant track dives into themes of nostalgia and personal growth, offering listeners a heartfelt journey through memories and resilience.

The song's creation was driven by Perry, the band's songwriter and guitarist, who drew inspiration from a place called the "Overground Practice Room" (OPR) during his high school days. This room, originally an empty space in a tennis facility, became a DIY rehearsal studio where Perry's first band spent countless hours writing music, hanging out, and cherishing their youth.

"Where flowers used to bloom," Perry reflects, encapsulating the vibrant spirit of their early days. In crafting the lyrics, Perry aimed to evoke the challenges and triumphs of personal journeys, encouraging listeners to reflect on their own experiences of growth and change. He emphasized the song's relevance in post-pandemic times, as it seeks to reignite a sense of passion and nostalgia among its audience.

"I hope the line 'I just wish you know how I'd always remember you' resonates with people in the way I intended," Perry shared. "It's not just about remembering, but about cherishing those memories as vibrant, joyful parts of life."

THE AURORA DEBUTS WITH SINGLE "PANGALAWA"

Misamis Oriental-based Indie Pop-Rock band, The Aurora ,has released their debut single, "Pangalawa."

This new track delves into the emotional experience of being in a relationship where you find out you're not the only one in your partner's heart, but rather just a second option.

The Aurora, which features members from El Salvador, Cagayan de Oro, and Opol, brings together a diverse array of talents from various parts of Misamis Oriental. Their unique blend of indie pop-rock sounds aims to capture the hearts of listeners with their poignant lyrics and engaging melodies.

CDO HIPHOP ARTIST MIZTAH AND MARYANG RELEASES NEW TRACK "ALI NA DRI"

Cagayan de Oro's hiphop scene has a fresh hit with the release of Miztah and MARYANG new track, “Ali na Dri.” This latest offering from the talented artist dives deep into the raw emotions of unspoken love and the fear of rejection. Miztah explains that the song is about "the feelings of someone who can't express their love to another for a long time, but the woman fears she might be rejected. She wants assurance that her love will be accepted, even though the man might already have someone else he likes." THE MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING RELEASES NEW SINGLE “HIKE” WITH MUSIC VIDEO

Emo indie rock band, The Mind Is A Terrible Thing , has dropped a new single titled "Hike," accompanied by an evocative music video. Frontman Rhys revealed that the single is a sequel to the band's earlier song, "What These Arms Are For."

Inspired by the band's love for hiking and a memorable performance in Baguio with Calm Lake Records, "Hike" reflects Rhys's personal experience of enjoying his favorite activity without his partner by his side. "I am experiencing my favorite thing to do, but not enjoying it that much because I’m not experiencing it with my partner," Rhys shared.

The song was both written and recorded in one night to capture this bittersweet sentiment, blending the band's signature emo and indie rock sound.

The music video for "Hike" was directed by the band's long-time friend Troy of Turncoats, along with his partner Mich. It was uniquely shot in Baguio, adding an authentic backdrop that enhances the song's emotional depth. Troy and Mich are renowned for their work on music videos for Amateurish, Fools and Foes, and many others, making this project particularly special.
