THERE'S STILL TIME TO ENTER the E Tū Whānau Song Competition - but you need to be quick! Entry closes FRIDAY 14TH JUNE @ NOON so please SHARE to whānau and friends.
TO ENTER a video of your original song inspired by the theme "my whānau my future" go to the E Tū Whānau website [etuwhanau.org.nz] where you can also see entries entered to date in the gallery. A REMINDER - this competition is for people living in NZ, entries can be in any language or musical genre, and there are two entry categories - Rangatahi (18yrs & under) and Open Entry (19yrs & over).
Winning entries will be selected by our three judges and cash prizes awarded for each entry category (ie: 1st $2500, 2nd $1000, 3rd $500, and Highly Commended $250). A prize of $1500 will also be awarded to the People’s Choice winner for most votes overall. Voting will be open in the gallery from 17-21 June and voters go in the draw to win a $150 gift card. All competition winners will be announced on FRIDAY 28TH JUNE @ NOON via E Tū Whānau’s page.
Congratulations to our judge Tawaroa Kawana who received two "Tui" at the recent Aotearoa Music Awards, and to the finalists, winners and performers on the night, including Hinewehi Mohi who was “abducted” into Te Whare Taonga Puoro o Aotearoa (NZ Music Hall of Fame).
