National Book Day.
One of my goals this year is to read more and disconnect from technology.
Have you got a good book title that you can share with others?
How long are you sitting? I know for me, it's most days, every day.
This year, NO more.
I challenged myself to get up and be more mobile.
And let me tell you, that takes a lot of planning, because when I step away from my desk, work, POOF, stops.
So far this month, I'm over the moon with the challenges I've set for myself (actually it is my watch calling the shots), not me.
I've managed to achieve... drumroll, please... four out of five challenges
With just three days until the end of the month, I have some 29,996 steps to go to complete the last.
What drives me?
Picture me, sitting, phone in one hand and calculator in the other, every day, calculating my steps and how long it'll take me to walk them.
Oh, and don't forget factoring in the weather.
And, the crazy roller coaster ride, that menopause provides.
I am a bit stubborn and often determined.
If I am close, and the goal is not reached, I can been seen walking or jogging around the apartment.
Even when I know I should just, STOP.
And there are times when the weather is wicked as heck.
Do I give up? NO!
I stand in front of the TV, doing a 10,000-step exercise routine, thanks YouTube.
And if I don't get 10,000 steps out of that routine, I do another, until my watch vibrates with green footsteps.
Or, the back stairwell and up and down the 96 steps a few times.
Sitting, well I do enjoy that, I have plently of time to relax and sit while creating content in my day job!
