Intrepid Travel has named Megan Lowe as new head of partnerships for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
Lowe will oversee Intrepid’s partnerships across the ANZ region, working to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
With more than 25 years of experience in the travel industry, Lowe previously held senior roles at Flight Centre Travel Group (both retail and wholesale). She joins Intrepid at a pivotal moment, stepping into the role formerly held by Yvette Thompson, who has recently been promoted to general manager sales & marketing ANZ.

Breaking News: Apollo and The Travel Corporation (TTC) today announced they have entered into definitive agreement for Apollo-managed funds (the 'Apollo Funds) to acquire TTC, which has been privately owned and operated for more than a century.
The transaction is subject to satisfaction of certain closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024. Certain brands are not included in the sale, notably The Red Carnation Hotel Collection and will remain under the continued stewardship of the Tollman family. Financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.

Just in from House of Travel...The newest Hottie, CEO Dave Coombes, jumped straight into his new role before his official start date by meeting HOT owner operators in Wellington at the group’s bi-annual Partnership Conference, setting an energetic tone for the exciting times ahead.
Spirits were high on the back of another record year for HOT with many in the room expressing that the culture and partnership has never felt stronger.
The executive team provided an update on HoT’s three year “Fast Forward” growth initiatives which included the opportunity for owner operators to play with the first iteration of a live AI enabled consultant platform designed to make life easier for HoT's consultants.

FTE 2024 kicked off with a warm official welcome and evening function. Bringing the true meaning to the words “where happiness comes naturally” it was the perfect start to a busy two days. The event this year has a strong turnout with over 550 attending, including 125 buyers and 85 sellers. New Zealand is well-represented with 13 delegates, including wholesalers, product managers, and media.
