From the bestselling author of THE BONE TREE comes a lively and playful bilingual collection of stories about growing up in Pātea.
Interlinked and full of recurring characters, these stories are about growing up in small-town Aotearoa – sneaking away during cross country, doing bombs in the pool while the lifeguard isn’t looking, peeling spuds on the marae, crashing a car at age four, and learning to live by the tikanga ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’.
Coming 27th August 2024, it’s available now to pre-order via the 🔗 LINK IN BIO.

We are beyond excited to to be publishing FEIJOA: A STORY OF OBSESSION & BELONGING by Kate Evans in March 2024! 💚
Inspired by a personal obsession with this singular exotic fruit, FEIJOA is a sweeping, global tale about the dance between people and plants, how we need each other, how we change each other, and the surprising ways certain species make their way into our imaginations, our stomachs and our hearts.
🌱
The feijoa comes from the highlands of Southern Brazil and the valleys of Uruguay, where it was woven into indigenous and Afro-Brazilian cultures. It was scientifically named in Berlin, acclimatised on the French Riviera, and failed to make its fortune in California. Today, it is celebrated by one small town in the Colombian Andes, and has become an icon of community and nationhood in New Zealand.
Of the world's roughly 30,000 edible plant species, only around 150 are now cultivated for human consumption. Most of those were domesticated hundreds or thousands of years ago, but feijoas are among only a handful of plants that have made this journey from the wild to the orchard in the last few generations, providing a rare opportunity to watch, up close, the myriad ways plants seduce us.
FEIJOA is a book about connection. Between people and plants, between individuals, between cultures, across disciplines - it celebrates the ways our lives and loves intersect in surprising ways.

We are beyond excited to to be publishing THE GIRL FROM LONDON by Olivia Spooner this November! ⛴️
A page-turning, emotional story inspired by little known true events in WWII, this dual timeline novel is perfect for fans of Kelly Rimmer, Kristin Hannah, Kate Quinn, and Natasha Lester.
~
London, 1940. Ruth, a young schoolteacher, volunteers as an escort helping to evacuate children from war-torn England to Australia and New Zealand. Her three-month voyage is fraught - their passage is perilous, and the children anxious and homesick. Nine-year-old Fergus is more troubled than most and Ruth forms an unexpected bond with the boy.
It's not just Fergus who captures Ruth's attention. Bobby, a fellow volunteer who initially infuriates Ruth with his laidback charm, somehow gets under her skin and throws her ordered life into chaos.
Tragedy strikes on their return voyage, when the Rangitane is attacked by German raiders. As the ship goes down, the surviving passengers are taken as prisoners of war aboard the German vessel. To the rest of the world, they are missing, presumed dead.
~
New Zealand 2005. Hazel boards a plane to London, eager to explore Europe. Sitting next to her is a man named Joe. On her lap is a treasured book from her grandfather, Fergus. A book that will finally reveal Ruth's story.
A captivating, heart-wrenching story of love, loss, and the resilience of the human spirit that will stay with you long after you turn the final page.

One witch will set the world ablaze… the TONIGHT, I BURN cover reveal is coming tomorrow! Katharine J Adams - Author
A young witch with the power to walk between the realms of Life and Death finds herself at the centre of a magical rebellion - and a dangerous romance - that could destroy her coven and her soul in this dark and decadent debut. Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Leigh Bardugo, and Chloe Gong.
Thorns, Tides, Embers, Storms, and Ores. All five covens are bound in servitude to the tyrant High Warden of Halstett.
Penny Albright is a daughter of the thorn coven, forced to patrol the veil between the realms of Life and Death, keeping it safe and whole. Each night, one thorn witch-and only one-must cross the veil by burning at the stake. Each morning, that witch returns with the help of their magical lifeline. Failure to follow the rules of Death risks them all.
But one morning, Penny's favourite sister Ella doesn't return. And that night, determined to find her, Penny breaks the rules. She burns in secret.
What she finds in Death is a manor that shouldn't exist, home to the devastating Lord Malin, who shouldn't be there. Malin offers Penny a dangerous deal: Ella's freedom in exchange for information about the High Warden.
But all isn't as it seems in Life or Death. Penny's bargain leads her to Alice, a mysterious captive prophet... and to a rebellion brewing in the shadows of their city. And as Penny's world splits between her growing love for the ethereal Alice in Life and her attraction to the seductive Malin, in Death, she'll face a devastating choice.
Because it's not just her sister's life that hangs in the balance. It's the fate of all magic.
All it takes is one witch - and one spark - to set the world ablaze.
