The Terai is the southern part of Nepal sharing border with indian states of Bihar. Terai is known as the bread basket of Nepal . The Terai region is mostly populated by the people belonging to different communities like Yadav, Jha , Tharu, Dhimal, etc. Lumbini; the birthplace of Lord Buddha is located in Terai region.
