So, today UNIFONY III is released. Featuring Moya Brennan, Nils Petter Molvaer, Johan Borger and Bob Ludwig.

The voice of Moya Brennan I got to know for the first time when my father let me listen to 'Theme from Harry's Game'. I was intrigued by the sound and the music at a very early age. It is a true marvel to work on my own music with that very same voice at 30 years later.

Then I also got an unexpected present, as Bob Ludwig compliments me on calling UNIFONY III one of the best engineered records he had done in a really long time. !!!

This really struck me, as I am working so long on a high end level, not always knowing why I take all the extra hassle and going for the extra mile, but I cannot do it any other way. And when someone who is such a legend, then gives such a statement about my work... gives me goosebumps every time I see the video.

yesterday by saw the light of day at the venice film festival.

For this film I did the mastering at of the original soundtrack by . It is one of his finest works and it was lovely to work on. The music touched me even while working on it. Tit was a lovely job to enhance the sound and music further and put my skills into it.

A lot of people worked on this wonderful music which Minco composed (which I cannot tag now. sorry): .lopez.sanz .

Stay on the lookout for the soundtrack which will be released by on the 1st of October. It is great music with emotional depth and great sounds. It should be awarded I think!

Today this special and insane microphone arrived at the studio. It's a point-to-point hard wired audiophile microphone made by Danny 'Sage' McKinney from Audio Engineering. Known as the Alison Krauss microphone but used by well known others like Joachim Cooder inspired me to acquire one. It is an all-tube design, line-out level microphone. That means also the PSU is all tubes!

As far as I know it's the only one in The Netherlands, and there aren't much of these around in Europe I presume. So a really unique piece of gear!

No room for audio today but will do that in the next few days so stay tuned.

First post as Klankzicht, the new name for my studio and audio related activities.
As its about sound and view, here is just a sneak peak of the view you get when watching outside the studio windows.
